Title: The newcomer
Description: For all to join

Xiami Black - March 6, 2006 05:36 AM (GMT)
It's starting to get dark outside when all of a sudden, the door opens. A man in a green shirt and a dust-red cape walks in. without saying a word, he sits at a nearby empty table. He starts staring at the wall feeling a bit lonely. He looks around. The place looks fairly empty, though there are a handfull of people. He then starts to look at his empty glass and sighs.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 6, 2006 05:54 AM (GMT)
Seeing how the windows of buildings had gotten a bright white, she was sure it had fallen night. Walking into the tavern quietly, she sat at a table. Looking around, she spotted a man on the next table over with an empty glass. Showing no interest in him, she closed her eyes as she put a rose she was holding on the table, still holding it in both hands. Sighing deeply, it was nice to find a place to relax after all that walking.

Rishian Gleemer - March 6, 2006 03:18 PM (GMT)
Rishian was walking aimlessly through the streets, taking in all the sights. It had been a while since his last visit to a human city. He ussualy avoided them becuase of his odd appearence. His face was handsome, and he was tall, but scaly wings might set off some people. Right now they were pressed as hard as they could be against his back, underneath his tunic. He realy needed a cloak, or some sort of spell that cold make them dissapear for a while. He could deal with that later. Right now, he was going to enjoy himself. A sign above the door of an inn caught his eye. Underneath the words was a picture of an elf singing. Its name was the Song of Evles tavern. Tilting his head, Rishian headed in its direction. He wondered how it had gotten its name. Probabvly an interesting story.

Opening the door, Rishian looked at the current occupants. It was not extremly late right now, so there were few drunk, roudy men around. He could see one man sighing over his cup, and at another table, three men were playing at dice. Next to the sighing mans table, there was a woman holding a rose. Further back, there were two men sitting and talking over brimming tankards of ale. Not very buissy at all right now. Choosing a table near to the bar, one over from the rose woman, he waved over a maid. He did not notice his tunic rise slighlty, showing part of his wings. He there fore did not understand the odd look he received from the woman. She cane over anyway. "I'll take a small brandy please," he said. She nodded and walked away, back toward the kitchens. He turned back around, facing his table again.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 7, 2006 12:22 AM (GMT)
Still looking down at the rose on the table, her eyes moved to looked at the man who had taken a seat the next table over, and then back. Getting her pack that was on her back, she took it off, slipping each arm out of the straps, and placed it on the table, opened it, and gently placed the rose inside. Looking around at the drunk men, her facial expression changed from relaxed - to disgusted. Men that were drunk disgusted her. A simple drink would make them disrespectable. It was eating their lifes away without them even knowing.

Turning her attention to the maid who had some what she believed was Brandy. Placing it gently on the table where the man was sitting, she looked at him. Another drunk. She supposed it was ok to have a drink now and then. But she was disgusted by the men who were addicted or were reckless when drunk. But now, more important things, she was getting quite thirsty herself.

She called the same maid over. "Water please, Miss." She usually wouldnt say 'Miss' or 'Sir' to people she didnt know or didnt do the same to her, but she respected these women who could work at a tavern with drunk men around. Oh well, she had other things to do and think about.

Xiami Black - March 7, 2006 02:20 AM (GMT)
Looking over to see who called for water, the man also wanted a drink. "I would also like some water please." he said to the maid. When the maid was gone, the man said to the women next to him "I'm not too fond of alcoholic beverages. They are not as pleasing as most other people would say." And he waited for a response.

Rishian Gleemer - March 7, 2006 02:35 AM (GMT)
As Rishian's small glass of brandy came, he herard two people, the only two others missing a drink, call for water. One proclaimed that he did not like alcoholic beverages, that he did not find that they satisfied as well as others. turng around in his chair, Rishian was about to comment to the man, but slipped to the floor. Luckily his brandy was on the table. Picking himself up, he ignored the loud luaghter comming from the other occupants. He had always been clumsy, and no matter how hard he tried, he was alway going to be that way. He thought it must be something in the mixing of his bloods.

Setting himself in his chair again, he addressed the man. "As a matter of fact, most other people would prepher water over alcohol unless it is at a meal. The only reason it was made was for a diffrence in the flavor. Of course, if one did not want to have alcohol, but wanted flavor, there is always tea." He sat looking at the pair, both the man and the rose womna, who now had a bag sitting on her table. He waited for a kind of response from them. then it hit him. He had luanched into something as stupid as water and ale in a bar that had nothing to do with what normal people would have said. Turning red, he once again turned toward his table. To slip and fall yet again. Muttering curses, he sat himsefl down carefuly in his chair and grabbed his brandy.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 7, 2006 02:55 AM (GMT)
Amy nodded at the man who had the same opinion as her. Then, turning her head towards the laughing crowd, she spotted the man on the floor. She didnt laugh however, we all make mistakes. When he got up, she respected how calm he was, not laughing with them, not feeling embarresed, or at least, she didnt think he was. She didnt speak until he turned around again, and then spoke "Perhaps, but the alchohol does make you reckless. And tea, tea, is always good." Her eyes wandered off to the crowd, and she hated how they laughed. Her lips opened, making a small, almost breathless, "Hah." She was laughing at them. How disgusting. And yet, they have watched others get drunk, and still do it. Addiction was understandable - you cant help it.

But she closed her eyes. "Oh well." She said quietly. She respected the man though - he was able to hold a conversation even if people usually wouldnt talk about it. Looking back at the other man, whom also ordered water, she nodded again, "Yes." Then her head turned once again, to the bag on the table.

Xiami Black - March 7, 2006 03:46 AM (GMT)
Curious about the contents of the bag, Xiami reastrained himself of asking what was in it knowing it was none of his business. But what was in it? Was it another rose? Maybe she liked roses. Was it a weapon? Is she a killer? It could be anything. Was it even hers? So many questions appeared in his head. Xiami looked away knowing he would eventually get caught staring at the bag. "Ah! Finally!" Xiami exclaimed. "Our water is here!" He grabbed the cup that was placed on his table and took a sip still wondering about what was in the bag.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 7, 2006 11:34 PM (GMT)
As the maid placed her glass of water on the table and left, she took a drink and turned to the man who also ordered water. "Yes." Was her reply again. Then putting her soft hands through the bag once again, she took out the same rose. And placed the rose in front of her lips, and smiled at him. "It smells lovely. But it doesnt smell like just an ordinary rose. There is something special about this one."

Extending her arms toward him, she nodded. "Can you see what is different? Look closely." If you would look close enough, you could see blood resting on it.

Xiami Black - March 7, 2006 11:48 PM (GMT)
Xiami looked closely at the rose. He saw a twinkle of a red liquid resting on the it. "Yes, I see the blood." He replied. "Who's blood is it?" He then asked curiously. Xiami hypothesized that a brave warrior died from a bloody battle and fell to the ground beside that very rose. It was doubtful, but plausible. His other guess would be that the rose is certainly not like any other. It could be as hard as steel and used as a weapon. This was very doubtful. That's why Xiami didn't bother to consider this hypothisis.

Rishian Gleemer - March 8, 2006 01:46 AM (GMT)
Rishain sat at his table in silence, listening to the two people discuss a rise. His curriousity overwhlemed him. Picking up his small brandy, he got up slowly so that he would not emberass himself yet again. Turning around in the same manner, he aske the tow people, "Do oyu mind if I join you? It's awfly lonely by onesself."

(Sorry about the shortness)

Xiami Black - March 8, 2006 03:04 AM (GMT)
Looking towards the clumsy man, Xiami replied "Oh, of course I don't mind..." Adressing to the women, he said "...if it's okay with you." While Xiami was waiting for a reply from the women, he examined the clumsy man. He looks drunk. Thought Xiami. He was questioning if the man could not talk properly because he was drunk or because he was tongue-tied. Then he looked towards the women still waiting for a response.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 9, 2006 01:37 AM (GMT)
Moving her arm towards her and then placing the rose again in her bag, she decided not to talk about the rose any longer. "Excuse me." And then listened to the conversation of the two men. She nodded her head at both of them. "Yes." Turning her attention the man who was supposedly lonely. Based on his talking, she guessed he was drunk.

Her facial expression changed after this.

Xiami Black - March 9, 2006 01:49 AM (GMT)
"Something wrong?" Asked Xiami once he saw the look on the women's face. He was guessing that the women had a feeling of disgust towards drunk men. Although, he could not determine what the women's facial expression meant. What the devil is wrong? He thought while looking in her eyes.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 9, 2006 01:54 AM (GMT)
Amy turned her head to the man who asked her is something was wrong. Her intense eyes staring at him. "No." Quietly getting up from her chair, scooting it behind, she grabbed her backpack. "Please. Dont ask questions." Her feet moved on, through the drunk crowd and then opened the door, seeing it almost pitch black, she guessed it was midnight.

Turning back, and returning, she took her seat again. "Its too dark outside." Taking another sip from her water, she sighed.

Xiami Black - March 9, 2006 02:02 AM (GMT)
Looking towards the drunk man who was still standing beside the table, Xiami said "Well, I'm guessing you'll have to find someone else to chat with, I'm afraid." Then he looked towards the women. He was very confused. Why did she try to leave? He thought. He then looked outside. The women was right. It is too dark. looking back at back at her, he said "Can't you ask someone to borrow their lantern? I don't have one, so you might want to ask someone else." Then, he looked around him. If the women was digusted by drunk men, there wouldn't be many people to ask.

Rishian Gleemer - March 9, 2006 02:12 PM (GMT)
Rishian looked confused. These peole obviously thought something was wrong wiht him but he didn't know what. then it dawned on him. "I'm sorry i may seem drnk, but I am not. I am dead clumsy however. I oppoligize for any discomfort I may have cuased you." Looking at the the woman, he knelt down beside her, once aian forgetting his wings. The pressure that the placed on his tunic was rissing, and they were about to rip throuhg his shirt. "Are you alright. i have a skill in healing if you need it."

He set his brandy down while waiting for her response, looking at her intently. He did not know what could be wring with her, but he hoped he could help. he had bot had a chance to do a spell for some time now, and was eager to do one as soon as possoble.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 10, 2006 05:59 AM (GMT)
Amy listened to what the empty glass man had to say, "Yes, you are correct. But, it would still be tough for me due to... something I dont feel like talking about right now." Then, turning to the supposedly drunk man, she listened to what he also had to say. "You didnt seem so cliumsy talking before. Or did you hit yourself too hard on the fall?"

Based on this comment he made, she was sure he was drunk. But then again - she wasnt too sure. When he asked for healing, she simpled shook her head. "No, but thank you."

Xiami Black - March 11, 2006 12:12 AM (GMT)
"Well, if you wouldn't like to ask for a lantern, I could lend you my dog. Though, I didn't train him to escort people in the dark yet. In fact, I didn't train him to do anything yet. But I'm sure he'll take you home safe and sound." Xiami suggested to the women. He called his dog over and a big brown dog entered the room. "I call him Kale." Said Xiami as he embraced the dog.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 12, 2006 02:05 AM (GMT)
"Its very thoughtful of you, sir. But I wont be going out tonight it seems, or at least until it isnt as dark as right now." She smiled at the two men. After her smiled faded away she looked at Kale. Her arm reached out, and she started to stroke his back. She felt rather comfortable, they all seemed like nice people.

Taking her hand back to her side, she looked at the other man. He seemed drunk, but at the same time, he offered a heal. Maybe he really was just clumsy. Oh well, we are all different in our own ways. She thought if you were different, that meant you were beautiful.

She thought everyone is beautiful in their own way. The only way you are ugly, is if you are able to kill someone without no cause. But to here, this was rare. Even the most evil people who killed because of hate were beautiful, it was just how they felt about the world.

Just then, she realized she didnt know either of their names. "By the way.. your names? My name is Amy."

Rishian Gleemer - March 12, 2006 02:24 AM (GMT)
(OOC:(Those were spelling mistakes, not drunkeness.))

Rishian graciously accepted the womans decline of his offer. He just nodded at her silence. When he he heard her question, he pondered it a bt before answering. "I don't think I'm drunk. I do not feel any of the effects, but I could be wrong." Thinkign again, he added, "Though I can't be too drunk, can I? I can talk fairly decent. Might just be a slip of the tounge. The falling down was not drunkeness. Thats just be clumsy." He nodded to himself, an odd little habit he had.

While he had said those wards, the other man had called up his dog. Rishian looked at it curiously, though that was not saying much. He looked at everything curiously. it seemed friendly enough, though Rishian did not approach it. He actualy had an odd talent for dealing wioth animals, but he was always careful around tameones. Some didn't like him. He supposed it was becuase that they could somehow sense his dragon blood. He listened silently through the two peoples exchange of words, listening to her polite rubutle of the mans offer of the dog. he was tartled , however when it came to names.

"My...uh....my name is...hmm.." Rishian was aslways aways a little careful about giving out his name. He didn't know why, but he was. Probably just another little thing from his drasgon side. "Well, it's Rishian. Rishian Gleemer."

Xiami Black - March 13, 2006 07:58 PM (GMT)
"And my name is Xiami Black." He said with pride. "I am here because, well, let's just say I wasn't very comfortable in a small cabin in the forest." Xiami lived a large piece of his life in the forest. A dreadful place, it is. The sun was rarely visible, the smell of hunted animals mixed with their droppings filled the air and all you could hear was the sounds of the screaming prey being caught by their triumphant predators. Although, Xiami never liked to remind himself of this information.

Kaleidoscope Illusion - March 16, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
Amy nodded at the two. She really didnt know anything else to do, they had already introduced themselves, and it was surely midnight by now. Yawning, she placed her hand on her mouth, and then returned it back to her side when she was done. One of the maids walked by, and she began to speak. "Excuse me, miss, may I take a room for the night?" The maid nodded and smiled at her. "Yes, you may, miss." Amy payed her, and then turned back to the two men.

"Are you two going to get rooms also? Or do you have some bussiness to attend to?"

Xiami Black - March 16, 2006 03:47 AM (GMT)
"Well, I never thought about it, actually." Said Xiami with a surprised look on his face. "I didn't think I was going to saty here that long. I guess I might stay for the night." Then he looked at his dog, Kale. "Am I allowed to keep my dog in my room as well?" He asked thinking there would be no room for Kale. If he could, maybe he'd wake up early in the morning to start training the dog. There should be no problem with that, seeing as Xiami has had unusual experiences training other animals in the forest when he was young.
