Title: Time to drink
Description: Tea! [P]
Lánilmathién - March 3, 2006 02:53 AM (GMT)
The black jade cup rested in the female's hands without heat running through her flesh, Surprisingly enough, these cups were designed to contain intense heat and not burn the hand, and since she drank her quite often, this was extremely good. She sighed as she brought the cup to her lips, sipping softly as the warm tea flooded her tastebuds and ran down her throat in a smooth fashion. She placed the cup on the table in front of her with a single smile flickered across her pale lips as she rested her head on the back of her chair, calmly breathing as her blue orbs flecked with gold seemed to flicker around the roof of this building, examining the weak areas. Of course, this beautiful building would not -or at least should not- be infultrated. A smile flickered upon her face once more as she thought over her memories. She would break in her in the future, just to see what would happen. She was a curious half elf, if anything.
Laughing slightly, she listened to the sounds that ran aorund her form. In the past three hours, there had been three bar fights, each becoming a dangerous thing, though anyone who had gotten close to the female found a blade running through their throat and blood staining her sword before she wiped it off and smiled, crossing her legs in a lady-like fashion. Calmly, sipping her tea. Thinking. THinking. Thinking.
Here lately, that was all she did -think. She did very much more anymore, now that she had decided to follow her dreams of becoming a mage. She scowled at the thought as she closed her eyes and breathed deeply in anger. She enjoyed being a Mage, that she would graciously admit, and she one day wished to be a Sorceress of great wisdom and power, but for now her abilities as an assassin were all she could completely rely on.
[Sorry...Bad post]
Altara - March 3, 2006 03:05 AM (GMT)
It had been the half-elves speed with her blade that had led Altara to sit across from her. She was tired -so tired- of people leered at, poked, grabbed, and insulted by the others in the tavern that she had sat next to the person no one else would sit next to.
"Um, sorry about this, but can I sit next to you? The people around the bar were annoying me."
She was slightly embarrased that she hadn't (couldn't?) deal with the situation on her own, but she kept her head up, looking the woman in the eye. She was a little taller than her.

Lani smiled softly as she listened to the melodic voice restfully flowing through her ears softly. She looked up to find a strange looking woman - very strange, for she had never seen a shapeshifter, demon, vampire, or foreign elf that ever looked like this. Of course, she would not openly admit this, that would be more suicide then it would be anything else, and so she smiled lightly and nodded before leaning ehr head back again to study the balance beams with a smile flickering upon her face swiftly. She began to count, first o herself and then outloud. She had a strange habit of counting when she took steps, following a strict pattern, and when she planned for anything, ecspecially breaking into places, she seemed to count the windows from the outside in a casual manner, making note of this. Now she counted the distance between the balance beam, making sure to leave nothing out as she did so. She was not a fool, and she knew the rules of this land well enough. She was fine here, and would most likely get caught and thrown out, but she brought enough revenue to them to focus their decision.
She looked to the face of the strange woman once more, the smile still upon her lips as she spoke. Everyone gets tired of sitting at the bar, that is why this lone table in the corner is reserved for me day in and day out. I am here everyday, almost all day, unless I have another job, or reason to leave, and here lately, I have not. She sighed calmly, looking at the female's face as she moved her head to the side. May I ask why you did not just leave instead?
She looked curious, cocking her head to the side with a single puzzled expression. Of course, this female was a strange person, and she was very excited about meeting her, though she would never openly let this expression appear. She was an assassin at the moment, and definetly not a friend to anyone, but meeting people was always a fun thing to do -but always sad when she had to kill them later.

Altara shrugged. "I could have, but, that's letting them know that they had gotten to me. And I wanted to stay. I've only barely gotten here." She smiled, and cocked her head.
"Plus, you were here, which worked everything out."
"Oh! I'm so sorry! I'm Altara."
She extended a hand.

My presence brings little protection. I am not as strong as I seem some times, and I rarely protected anyone but myself. I am sorry, but sitting with me will not stop them from attempting to battle you. Understand? I may be a warriors in some way or another, but I am far from being able to protect you from those thugs.
Calmly, Lani looked at the female once more, a single serious look flickering upon her face as she slowly rested her hand on her forehead, combing it back wards through her smooth black and beautiful hair. Her blue orbs, flecked with gold, moved around the room swiftly, never once did the female take them off of her thoughts, though. Smiling softly, she faced the female once more.
I am sorry I am not answering in the most...regal manner, but I am not the one to protect others outside of my thin bloodline. I am sorry, Dearest Altara, but I am unable to give you comfort at this moment...Though I shall tell you that if they would have messed with me at the bar, all of them would be on the floor with my boot positioned on their back.
She grinned.
Altara - March 6, 2006 05:34 PM (GMT)
Altara laughed.
"No, I don't mean that actually you would protect me, but just your presence was enough of a ward. They are quite afraid of you if you haven't noticed. And look, no one's bothered me yet!"
She laughed again.
"So where do you come from? I'm just exploring this plane, and not that familiar with it."
Lánilmathién - March 7, 2006 01:58 AM (GMT)
She smiled at the comment. She was well aware they were afraid of her, for they should be. She visited this tavern every night, ordering nothing but hot tea as she settled down quietly, doing nothing but resting herself in a strange manner as she calmly watched and observed everyone and everything. Of course, every time she did such, people would glance her direction, and she would glare at them in a cold manner, never once changing her expression –or blinking for that matter- and it always made them nervous. She loved watching humans run around frantically, as though they did not understand what was happening. Her weapons were always positioned on the table in front of her, and her ankles were either crossed on the table, or underneath her chair, crossed in the same manner.
I know they are terrified of me –I killed a man who attempted to take my tea three days ago. They are not just scared of me –they are terrified I will take their life, so they all stay away from me, except –of course- the pitiful waitresses who decided it is their duty to bring me my tea whenever I request it. Some of them are nice, others are also scared, and some –my favorites, of course- just don’t care.
Laughing coldly, the laugh seemed to echo through the room, and everyone settled to a hush. Her laughing did not waver, though, and instead rang true throughout the air currents around the female. She stopped soon, though, and settled her elbows on the table, resting her head in between her hands as she looked at the female across from her once again. What was she doing here? She had no idea. She was not sure why she came here, but they made good tea, and therefore she was here quite often, though she was also at the Purple lantern Inn and Tavern quite often as well.
I roam where I wish.
Altara - March 9, 2006 05:25 AM (GMT)
"Really? So you really know this entire world! Or most of it, anyways."
Altara was a little excited, and, as she was prone to do when excited, her tail was twitching in an almost hyptonic rythm.
"Any suggestions for places that I should explore?"
Lánilmathién - March 11, 2006 09:15 PM (GMT)
To this last question, Lánilmathién smiled. Everywhere, dearest. You must explore Everywhere. Imythess is one of my favorite places to be. You can run through Taras, go annoy a God or Goddess on Whim -which I have also done- or you can just randomly fight someone or something for no reason. You can visit the legendary city of balefire, which was once brought to the shadowplane to make sure it was not affected by some darkness coming, or you can plot destruction by making allegiances. Imythess is limitless, dear...Go everywhere, yet go no where at all.
She nodded slightly as some one brought her more tea. This warm fluid was her addiction, and this was something she noticed all too long ago. Smiling at the thought, she sipped it again. of course, she went everywhere to kill, where as, others went to find things and adventure. She did not know, nor did she care, what else this woman did. Lánilmathién roamed and killed, finding somehting to do everywhere she went. of course, this was also dangerous because she got in trouble quite frequently, but she enjoyed it never the less. She was an Assassin and Aspiring Mage, after all. The thoughts she had about what she could do when she was somewhere were always fun, and at this moment, one thing ran through her mind -destruction, flames seemed to lick her fingers as she hid them in the shadow underneath the table, an orb of fire flickering there softly. She let the orb fall to the floor, and it rolled among the marble, setting fire to the wood that bumped in its path -the peg leg of the owner of the Purple Lantern Inn and Tavern. As this man spazed out, Lánilmathién pretended she had nothing to do with it.
This was her own form of adventuring around Imythess.
