Title: Music is nature's medicine...
Description: *open*

Now this was a beautiful place to sit and relax... green grass as far as the eye could see, birds chirping in the trees and even deer grazing upon the grass. How lovely, how beautiful, how inspiring. Rothardan had been walking a little bit and decided that this was a good place to stop and relax, whilst gracing the forest with some music.
Sitting down, he took out his brand new and very beautiful violin which he had been dying to play ever since he had placed an order for it. Resting the violin upon his shoulder, Rothardan picked up the bow and began to play a tune that was straight from his imagination.
It was a merry tune, a portal to another land to those who would listen to it. The animals stopped what they were doing and began to listen to the sound as if transfixed by the beauty of the music. Rothardan was no longer in the forest... now that he was playing his violin, he was flying through the skies of Imythess above the forests. That was what music could do for him.
He played for a few minutes, playing his tune with finesse and ease. The bow stroked the violin strings quickly and was like a blur within Rothardan's hands, whilst the music danced from the violin and into the ears of those who would listen.
Without a care in the world, Rothardan kept on playing... even though he could hear someone else coming near his position.

Sauntering along the pathway, his crimson hues darted along his surroundings as he passed this tree and that. It had been a short while since he recalled being here, nearly a week in fact. Needless to say the memories weren't pleasant, but hopefully it would change this time around. Idly his right hand lifted to his chest and ran his digits across the exposed flesh of his chest. The wounds had healed properly and he had no one to thank besides himself, even though Ethstar had offered to aid him.
Dropping his hand back to his side he continued on through the looming darkness created by the thick foliage above, until finally reaching a clearing. Slowly his gaze scanned across the green lucious grass and the calm blue liquid flowing languidly in the center of the clearing. Indeed it was a perfect place to relax, but something caught his ears. It was a lulling tune, soft yet quick. It's melodic nature seemed to draw his attention over to the man playing the violin. Suddenly he emerged from the darkness of the woods and into the bright gaze of the sun, blinking a few times trying to get adjusted to the light.
Clapping his hands together a few times, he continued towards the man playing the instrument, “Very good. It's not often you hear such a thing, no less out here.” Nodding slightly, he turned his gaze from him and out over the water, “A pleasant day wouldn't you say?”
Rothardan - March 2, 2006 01:19 PM (GMT)
Rothardan could hear the person coming ever nearer and decided he would end his tune now. After finishing it off, he could hear someone clapping in admiration. Turning his head to see this person, Rothardan saw a young man who seemed to have come from the clearing up ahead.
“Very good. It's not often you hear such a thing, no less out here," the man said in an admiring sort of voice.
Rothardan nodded his head as if he was being recognised for something wonderful and smiled. Putting away his violin and bow carefuly, he strapped the case around his back with two straps he had fitted onto the case as if it were a rucksack.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it, I don't play music from notes... I mainly make it up as I go along but I do enjoy playing in the forest. After all, music is natures medicine..."
Getting up and stretching his legs from the horrible cramp they were beginning to suffer from, Rothardan walked over with a smile on his face. As far as he knew, anyone who liked his music obviously had good taste.
"I think it's a wonderful day today," he said, "The sun is shining, the birds are singing, everything seems to be peaceful..."

((OOC: Sorry if it isn't good, I was rushed.))
It wasn't often he enjoyed company, but this time he made an exception, he was in a grand mood, one that no one could break him away from. He had successfully defended himself against the assassin's assigned to kill him, and managed to gather an unlikely ally to his side as well. Everything was going on the up and up since then, he had seen no hide nor hair of the rogues and no signs of civilization period.
As the man rose to his feet, his eyes drifted languidly over to him, studying him for a few moments, “Those who conform to pre-written composition are also the one's that bind themselves to the system and become a slave to the game. In other words, by writing your own song, you admit freely that you have no borders and no restraints. You're an uncontrolled body that does not serve the countless...Which is something I enjoy most about someone.”
Shifting his gaze from the man, his dark hues befell upon the blue waters as they danced about in the suns rays. Occassionally a few beams of light glanced off the glass like surface and into his eyes, but he paid it no mind, only consumed by its beauty. As the man spoke again, his eyes slid shut, submersing himself deep within thought, “I agree...How easily days like this take the mind off such things. Your music also has that same effect and perhaps you'll become known throughout the lands for that one single trait, or perhaps much more it all depends on how well you apply yourself to accomplish your goals. Everyone has their own special thing and I appreciate your kind of gift for that comes special, its entirely devoid of mine.” A soft smile crossed his slender lips, as his eyes slowly fluttered open and turned back to the man, “Enough of that mumbo jumbo...The name's Marius Ashounen, The Enigmatic Knight and yours?” He offered his hand out to the man, awaiting either his acceptance or denial of his offer.

Rothardan smiled and shook the man's hand with a nice firm handshake. This man seemed nice enough, after all he enjoyed his music and had just praised him tremendously because he didn't read from musical sheets. Maybe Rothardan had found a new friend...
"It's a pleasure to meet you Marius, my name is Rothardan Lionheart the musical Paladin. And thank you for saying such things about my music, but I don't think I'll be big in the land... I don't want to be known for my music. I'd rather be known for saving people and helping others. Music just helps me calm down a little..."
Indeed it did help him calm down a little, that's why he loved playing music. In a few simple moments, Rothardan could easily forget about everything and fly the highest skies or swim in the deepest seas with the sounds of his violing. To him, music wasn't just all about notes and sounds, music was more about what it made the listener feel like. A song was no good if it didn't make the person feel like something...

Drawing his arm back to his side, he turned back to the languid waters, gazing out into them. It wasn't often he was so friendly, infact he'd just asoon remain silent and feel people out before trying to speak to them. It was something he picked up from his father, to lie in wait and observe without mentioning a word. Though, he vowed to be different than his old man and wanted to live far past him as well. That's exactly what he was doing too, living life and making allies while doing it. It was one of the few things his old man never tried to do and in a sense it led to his demise.
Withdrawing his hand back to his side, it slipped immediately within the confines of his pants pocket, “As you said, a pleasure. Rothardan, even if you don't become known for that and instead your ability with the blade, then pray our paths won't meet when hatred consumes the land. As much as I hate to admitt it, I will be taking the side of evil should this tide wash over. If it happens then we will be on opposing sides for you're of good, while I'm of evil. Though, I wish not to be categorized as that because I am no where near them filthy mongrels. I am far better than that, I do not kill for pleasure I kill because I have to.”
Marius shifted his gaze out over the waters again, his eyes sliding shut as he took a few more moments to think, “Though, perhaps not....I may play a neutral in all of this and kill along both sides. Who knows? Time will only tell where I decide to stand myself, whether it be on the line or on the side of evil.” Shrugging his shoulders, his eyes slid open and up to the crow cawing insistently in the tree top of a nearby tree, “There's one creature I would never miss.” Peeling his gaze from the crow, it found it's way back to the man, “Anyway, what brings a soul out here? Perhaps a simple relax while serenading yourself with music? Or is it something else?” It wasn't often he pried into other's business, no less cared, but he was in a good mood and he wasn't about to let it go to waste.
Rothardan - March 4, 2006 08:03 AM (GMT)
Oh well, so this man was a little on the bad side of the scales... Rothardan would rather not think about evil and good unless he had to do so. Infact, he just wanted to think about all the nice things such as the sun and the music that was floating around the air.
"There may be a chance for you to change. Good and evil aren't categorised by names, they are categorised by actions. Maybe you will be a neutral and simply do things your way... as you said, only time will tell. But I reckon you'll make the right decision at the right time so don't worry about that."
Rothardan relaxed against the tree and took a deep breath of fresh air...
"I suppose I came here to relax and forget about good and evil for one day, just to see the lakes and the animals in peace without having to worry about something going wrong. So far so good..."
Acerbic Dreams - March 4, 2006 09:48 PM (GMT)
Silently he watched the man take a seat with his back against a tree. It seemed like a good idea, to sit and relax but he wasn't intended to spend all day out here. Though, it may do him some good to relax for a while longer.
He shrugged at the man's comment, “Good and evil are categorized by actions, I agree. However, my actions can tend to be evil, it all depends. It depends on those around me, if you sit and push my buttons, which do you think I'll turn? If you remain as you are, how do you think I'll act? You're already on my good side, but it doesn't mean you would stay there. A man can only be pushed so far and then evil becomes his only choice. Though, I have met people who refused to fight and remain neutral during the wars, but they never lived long. A life without death is improbable.....”
He decided to cut the conversation there, as the man had stated he was simply out to relax without worrying about such petty things. A yawn plagued him, as his mouth grew wide and his arms stretched high above his head, his back arching in the process. Moving his hands down to the back of his head, he rocked back and fell upon the soft grass without signaling a noise. Quietly he laid, his eyes gazing up at the fluffy white clouds that rolled across the skies, noticing the different shapes that each had to them. This was one of the few things he'd ever done even as a kid. He never took a rest to admire such things, but instead simply pushed his body, mind, and spirit to the brink in his training. He was always on the go and never slowed even for a moment, at least not until now.
Rothardan - March 5, 2006 06:43 AM (GMT)
Rothardan could understand what the man was saying... he knew that killing was innavoidable. But Rothardan would only kill those who were evil and had done terrible deeds, he would never kill in cold blood.
"So... what would happen if you would only kill evil? Instead of doing these horrible actions that you sometimes do, what would happen if you'd only kill evil?"
And then, before he could continue, there was a rustling in the bushes ahead of them. He saw a glint of metal and immediatly, Rothardan grabbed his violin case and held it up against his head. There was a shudder as an arrow hit the case and made it's mark. Rothardan got up and drew his blade to go after his would be murderer... only to see that his murderer was running away as fast as he could.
Now Rothardan was angry... could he go one day without someone trying to kill him? Apparently not. Now he was going to find this person and make him pay for what he had tried to do. No wait, first he would find out WHY this person tried to kill him THEN make him pay. That sounded like a plan.
Rothardan ran after the sharpshooter...

Slowly his eyes slid shut, the thoughts flooding his head as he delved over the question. It wasn't long before he caught himself thinking back on the past when his father and him ruled over his homelands with flaming hands, the very same that turned all within their path to ash. Shaking off the thoughts, he stirred slightly, before replying in a cold dark tone, “Then you're no better than that which you kill. As much as people may think you to be a hero for killing to save, you aren't. It takes the corrupt to kill, and the talented to disable their ability to kill, those are the true heros. There you have it, the truth. And it seems I'm the only man that ever speaks as such nowadays.”
As silence engulfed them once more, he used that time to simply relax, but it was not for long. There was a slight whistle and then a heavy thunk as the arrow embedded itself within the violin case of the man's. Quickly he bolted to a sitting position, his left foot planted itself upon the ground allowing his leg to bend at the joint. Resting his arm on the knee, his eyes shifted to the now retreating assassin. It all seemed to take place within a second's notice as Rothardan drew his blade and took off after the man. Like hell if he was going to chase after as well, he had known little of the man and decided it better for him to handle his own agenda.
Placing his hands flat upon the ground he pushed himself to an erect stance, bowing his head in respects, “May the gods guide you, young man. You have much to learn about the workings of this world that birthed us all.” A slight grin crossed his slender lips as he slid his hands into his pockets and turned in the other direction. Laughing softly, he pushed forward, casually walking back within the dark entrenching binds of the forest.
