Hymsong - March 1, 2006 01:23 AM (GMT)
A wood elf appeared in the door way and stepped in. Her eyes darted from one table to the next till she found an empty one and she walked over to it. Her cloak swiped after her, and her hand griped a scimitar that was seathed and on her right side. The elves cloak was up as she walked to the table. It was beautiful to watch her walk by, her elf grace was what made her beautiful. She took her cloak off and her face could be seen. She had short brown her that went to her shoulders and grey eyes that gleamed with beauty. The bartender came to her and asked what she wanted and the lady watched the man for long moments till she said, "elven wine." She said her voice lovely. The bartender left to get elven wine for the lady. Many eyes stared at the beautiful newcomer, but the women seem to ignored them, but really was a bit nervous.
Hymsong was her name, Hymsong Darkstar, sister to Hymwen Darkstar. Many think that she's the same person but they are not, Hymsong is a bit odd, so her parents thought. Hymsong likes to steal for fun and sometimes fight when she has too, but she hasn't fought for a long time. Hymsong came to Imythess looking for Hymwen, she knew Hymwen came here and she wanted to find her. She missed her sister so much that she cryed every night till her parents told her to go look for Hymwen, and so she did. When the bartender came back Hymsong gave him a coin and sipped the wine and sat back looking around. It was crowded. People sipping wine and ale, talking and laughing, it made her smile. She loved it when her sister made her laugh, but its been half a year since Hymsong saw Hymwen last, but soon she will see her sister and they will have fun again.
"Hey, girl, over here." Shouted a man to her. Hymsong looked up and her smile faded and she glared at the man, but she sat were she was and held a tight grip on her weapon. Hymsong Finally stood and walked to the man. "What do you want, or don't you want anything and you just want to bug a simple girl like me, or are trying to get attention so you get me, well I'll tell you something, men like you get on my nerve and thats never good, so you better keep your mouth shut or I'll shut it for you, do you understand, good." She said and the turned without waiting for a reply she walked to her table sat down and sipped her wine ignoring every stare that came her way.
Rothardan - March 7, 2006 02:49 PM (GMT)
Rothardan was sitting in the corner of the pub sipping his ale and reading a book on strange magical creatures and where to find them. Most of these creatures didn't exist anymore but it was still an interesting read. Taking another sip of his ale, Rothardan heard the tinkling of a bell which meant that someone else had come into the inn.
Looking up, Rothardan saw it was a young wood elf who was very easy on the eyes indeed. It was weird that a wood elf would turn up in a place which stank of ale fumes and sweaty dogs, infact most wood elves avoided this place like the plague. But still... this wood elf was very nice to look at.
And it appeared that someone else thought so as well, someone very loud and piggish who had said, "Hey, girl, over here".
Looking over at the direction of the bloaty voice, Rothardan saw it belonged to a large man who looked like he hadn't seen a bath for ages. Infact, when Rothardan sniffed the air, the repungent smell of ale, smoke and several other unpleasent smells entered his nose which quickly induced his gag reflex.
The elf didn't come over, instead she told him to sling his hook. Big mistake... because lard lad decided to take offense to it. He picked up his mug and began to stomp over to the elf with gritted teeth. Things were going to get ugly...
Or they would have done if Rothardan hadn't stuck his foot out to trip the man up. It was a simply motion really, for as soon as the man hit Rothardans foot... down he came, belly first onto the stone floor. It looked rather painful actualy and Rothardan hoped that the man's beer belly acted as some sort of cushion for him.
The man got up, snarled like a wild animal (showing several blackened teeth with bits of food stuck in between them) and went straight for Rothardan. But Rothardan wasn't scared, instead he got up and faced the man like a true warrior.
Lard lad wasn't impressed by this act of courage, and let out a roar like a wild bear before charging straight for Rothardan.
But once again Rothardan had planned his next manovoure, for behind him was a barstool which was begging for someone to trip over. Rothardan stepped calmly to the side and watched as once again, lard lad tripped over and hit the ground with a mighty thump.
Lard lad groaned, and got up clutching his head before making a hasty retreat to the rooms upstairs. Wobbling up the stairs, he reached the first room on the left and slammed the door shut before locking it several times.
Rothardan looked at the Wood Elf and smiled before bowing his head in greetings. Walking over, cloak effortlessley moving in his wake, Rothardan smiled at the wood elf who had avoided having her head clobbered by a beer tankard.
"I doubt we'll be hearing more from that guy again, perhaps when he wakes up from his sleep he'll have learnt some manners... and speaking of manners, my name is Rothardan Lionheart. May I have the pleasure of learning your name?"
(OOC: Sorry about the double post but I was using the wrong account...)
Hymsong - March 7, 2006 11:32 PM (GMT)
Hymsong sat there stuned at what happened, and then the man who helped her came over asking her name. She looked up at the man. "My name is Hymsong Darkstar, and thank you, I didn't notice that the man was walking behind me, I usually hear those things?" She said sipping her wine. "Please, well you have a sit?" She asked watching this Rothardan Lionheart. No one has helped me since I left home, and now this man I don't even know comes right up to me and asks for my name, Imythess is the oddest places I've been, she thought.
"I have something to ask? Have you seen or heard of another wood elf like me but called Hymwen Darkstar, she's my sister, and I came looking for her?" She asked hoping this man heard of Hymwen. She wanted to see her sister so bad, and her brother. "Oh and have you heard or seen Havax Darkstar, my brother, he's been missing for two years and we would have heard if he died?" She asked more looking a bit sad but sipped more wine calming herself a bit.
The door opened again and her head darted that way. More people to get drunk, she thought turning to Rothardan again and watched a hopeful look on her face, hoping he knows and could tell her where to find them and so she can go to see her sister again. She knows her sister is on a job to find new lands but Hymsong can't stand about not having her twin with her, so she started looking for Hymwen and Havax, but no luck so far, but she will find her soon.
((Its ok. Sorry its not as big as my last one))
Rothardan - March 8, 2006 11:07 AM (GMT)
Rothardan smiled when the wood elf offered him a seat to rest his self on. Taking a bar stool from behind him, he sat down and rested his legs from all the adventuring he had been doing since he arrived here.
"I'm sorry... but I haven't heard anyone by those names Ms. Hymsong. Infact, I don't see many wood elves coming this way at all. Elves tend to avoid this place because of the funes of ale that come here and seeing a wood elf here is a rare suprise. But I'm sure your brother and sister, don't worry about them. If I come across them then I'll them that your looking for them."
Rothardan took a tankard of ale that he had brought and sipped it, letting the cool refreshing taste of ale flow through his mouth.
"But anyway, why are you here in Imythess? Are you just here looking for your brother and sister?"
