Title: the sight of the next sluagther
Description: open to all that wish

Leo Card - February 27, 2006 05:26 PM (GMT)
Leo was waiting in a bush some 50 meters from a small bandit outpost. They semmed to be 'enjoying' the company of some women that had arrived. Leo gaved that it was against their will, by the small fact that their hands had been roped together, behind there backs.

Leo looked at the men. They seemed slightly drunk, apart from one. And he was a big guy. His armour was deadly.

That is some-one to avoid. Leo thought to himself, as he looked around.

The area was covered in darkness, and was only lighted by the main campfire, and a few fire touches. Leo smiled, he enjoyed darkness more then most things. Apart from women, but that was a different subject all together.

The camp itself was made of three tents, two small ones, and one large one. For the big guy, that was Leo's guess.

I think that if i deal with the 5 other bandits first, then i'd be able to fight the big guy one on one, and that shouldn't be too much of a problem... Leo thought again.

Lánilmathién - February 28, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
One of those 'Oh-So-Innocent-Females' was actually not oh-so-innocent. She was there on purpose, hired to kill the leader of these bandits, who was known for taking the female travelers. It had taken very little effort to conceal a weapon on her person and ride with these female's as a traveler, never letting these men any the wiser. She was no fool, and truthfully, she was much, much stronger then they gave her credit for. Of course, she would never have even thought of killing these men if she had not been paid to do so, and she definetly would not have let them take her if she had been traveling alone, they all would have been dead in that single instance, but it was the rare occassion she was found traveling withou someone -or something- following her, and she never traveled the main roads, always side roads, and through paths in the forests. No one had ever tracked her sucessfully before, and she doubted they would now.

Lánilmathién muttered a curse under her breath as her eyes caught the presence of someone in the bushes. She was not that skilled in finding hidden warriors, but her hearing as an elf had picked him up instantly. Swiftly, her finger tips curled around one of the two chakrams that were strapped underneath the regal, delicate, and elegant crimson dress that adorned her body, the jet black hair pinned to her scalp tightly was falling from its pins in large bits, for she was being treated like a slave, and they would not have noticed the weapon gently caressing againt the ropes, to cut them. She was no fool, the two chakrams she had with her -Chakram of the New Moon, and Chakram of the Fading Sun- were deadly weapons she had jused on several occassions to kill with. She had all confidence in herself at this moment that she could take these foolish people on without consequence. A thin smile adorned her lips before she let it evaporate in case anyone was looking, but her cold, water like eyes, flecked with bits of beautiful gold, were still locked on gaze at the bushes she had seen gently move, maybe by half an inch. Someone was watching them. This could screw everything up.

Borgin Thunderhead - February 28, 2006 02:17 AM (GMT)
Borign had almost stumbled onto the mens camp by accident. He had been walking through the woods before he had heard the small screams of women. He had followed them to this camp, nearly giving himself away to the outposted watchers in the trees. He himself had been able to hide in the undergrowth. He scowled as he watched the men tie the womens hands and feet, laughing ruactiously. Borgin would bet that they were planning to have their way with the women, then slit their throats and leave them on the side of the road. Borgins already short fuse was whittleing away fast. He could not abide men taking advantage of women. Of course, it was partly the womens fualt; they never learned to defend themselves. Growling slightly, his hand gripped his throwing axe. His eyes were locked onto a large man, the only one not grinning like an idiot over the captured women. He was the dangerous one. Borgin decided to take him out first.

As Borgin drew his throwing axe from his belt, he spotted the form of someone else in a bush, not fifty paces away from himself. He seemed intent on the bandits, the large man mostly. Looking back toward the women, he saw a flash of a grin on one of their faces. He guessed that he was not the only one who had plans for the men. The woman had a dangerous look in her eyes, a steely glint. They both had not moved yet. Borgin decided that it would be him to move first. He waited till every bandit was facing opposite of him, then struck.

Whipping his axe back, he stood up with a roar, watching as the bandits turned in his direction. His axe was flung foward, unfortunatly missing the large man, but cleaving anothers skull in two. Ripping the sheild off his back, he rushed the bandits like a wild bull. "Come to yer death, boys!"

Leo Card - February 28, 2006 08:09 AM (GMT)
Leo looked round, his neck crickin slgithhly.
What the? Leo muttered to himself. Then he realised what was going on.
Nice one, now its time for me to do part of my job.

Leo moved quickly, through the bush and ran towards on of the bandits. Leo ran towards, him and punched him square in the face.

The bandit guy spun around, and landed face first in the ground. Leo pulled out the bandit's knife.
Better save then sorry. But before leaving.

He grabbed the man's neck and with a breaking sound. Leo had twisted the neck.

He looked around, and saw that one of the women, were already free.

Damn, nice style. Leo thought to himself.

Lánilmathién - February 28, 2006 08:48 PM (GMT)
The anger gleamed in Lánilmathién’s eyes as she scowled. Her brow was creased, her glacier blue orbs flecked with gold seemed to grow hot, as did her skin as she stood with an angry curse muttering from her mouth, the scarlet gown falling around her as she tugged the chakram of the New Moon from it’s buckled spot on her thigh, and turned swiftly, throwing it with tough intensity. The blade sliced the air faster then the throwing axe ever could, cutting through the neck of three men with clean slices, no blood tracing along the beautiful silver chakram as it flew back to it’s masters hands.

The female sighed as she threw her hand up in response, catching the round weapon, and then crouched, her hand extending to hold herself on the ground. These men had ruined her plans –damn them. Curses flew from her mouth faster then these men could kill –they had to be amateurs, she soon decided. She moved quickly, throwing the circular blade once more, killing three more men as her foot kicked backwards into the chest of another man, who stumbled backwards for several more seconds. Quickly, the female moved towards him, the chakram still circling the enemies as she thrust her hands forward in a beautiful and poised attack. Her index finger was pressed next to her heart finger, the other’s folded down, as she punched forward in a strange way, touching the man softly as she turned again and caught her blade. The man fell to the ground with a groan.

She was skilled in killing –always had been, and always would be. Lánilmathién had learned how to use her magic and skills with weapons to become an assassin, and it had only taken her several weeks to do so. She was not one to enjoy killing to a dangerous, psychopathic level, but she did enjoy performing her job. She got paid for this, after all, and so it was a simple one for the female to complete. She could use every weapon in her arsenal with such precision that few could fight her with chances to survive. A malicious smile played upon her face for half a second, and then a look of disgust replaced it as she looked to the other men.

I had this under control.

Leo Card - February 28, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
I'm deeply sorry Miss. If i knew, i would of gladdly allowed you the honour of all kills. Leo said, bowing slightly.

Borgin Thunderhead - March 1, 2006 02:26 AM (GMT)
borgin was still rushing the large man when athe man in the bushes burst from his hidng place. Borgin did not pay much attention to him, focussing on the brute in front of him instead. He had drawn a large broad sword and was attacking mainly on Borgins left side. The side that held his mace. Obviously he though t to keep him busy defending with his weapon. Borgin almost shook his head. He was making the mistake that the sheild was not a weapon as well. Borgin began to show him his er, but suddenly a silver disk flashed through his kneck, severing it clean. Shain watched as he fell to the side, looking toward where the flash had come from. One of the women was free, and holding two circular disks, bioth seeming razor sharp. Borgin scowled a bit as she chastized them for comming in and taking down some of the bandits. Brogin shook his head as the other man appoligized. "Bloody ungrateful human," he muttered under his breath. In a louder voice, he addressed the woman. "Ye're welcome, lady," he said in his gruff voice. "Perhaps if ye hadn't been tied up wit hthe rest, there wouldn't have been need fwer us to help ye."

Turning from he, he walked over to the corpse that held his throwing axe. Setting his foot down on the body, he ripped upward with all his might. He knew from experience that it was difficult to get weapons embeded in another noggin. As it came free, he scowled at it. The skull and part of the spine had come out as well. "Well ain't that pretty," he gruinted. Taking the axe in both hands, he slamed it into the nerarest tree. The skull shattered, freeing the axe. Turning around, he spoke to the woman again. "Ye gonna help yer friends there, or we gonna have to freethem too missy?"

Lánilmathién - March 1, 2006 04:40 AM (GMT)
The response of the man sent a shiver down her spine. She hated people who were week, and at the moment, this man was extremely weak. She wanted to yell at him, and then throw the chakram in her hand [by the way, she is only using one at the moment, the other is still hidden Borgin] and kill the human with a single slice. She was far from being a fool, and she knew that this man was close. He was an idiot. She would never -ever- have appologized, and she had already prepared herself for battle, when this man had appologized. He was one of the strongest fools she had ever met, and he had killed a man with no purpose. She always killed with purpose -generally because she was being paid gold, but occassionally it was just because she felt like killing. This man had swooped in as the hero, and then just killed. The Gnome-man, on the other hand, was new. She wanted to laugh.

Well, Gnome-man...I had everything under control. I was getting paid to kill that man- She pointed swiftly to the man laying on the ground below her, -and I did so. I recieved gold for his death -or I will, at least- and I had everything in my grasp until you two showed up. Generally, the only way to actually find these men was to get kidnaped -or it was the easiest one, at least. So, I allowed myself to be taken prisoner, and then I allowed them to brign me here. They checked for weapons, and I made sure they did not find any I may have hidden on me, such as the Chakram of the New Moon. I was able to cut the ropes within an instant, and if you would have waited for a second or more, I would have been able to hear when the next group of girls was coming in so I could finish of the rest of their group. yes, don't act so surprised. This is only half of the bandit group, the other half is rounding up six more girls, and will be bringing them here, though I am not sure how soon because you decided to start your little renegade quest to make you feel like men. Happy? You just could have cost the lives of six more women.

[Meep...Crappy post...]

Leo Card - March 1, 2006 08:08 AM (GMT)
But before you start to prepare yourself for a fight with either of us, me'lady, i might suggest that you look around and do the calucations. We didn't know who or what you were, we were just doing our own jobs. Which reminds me. Leo said, he walked into the large tent.

He looked around for a moment until he found it. A small vial of some orange liquid. He pocketed it, and walked back outside.

I normally kill with reasons, and the reason for this kill was simple. I need to get something for a 'friend' of mine. Now if you would like to yell at me some more, or do anything, i seriously advise against it, there are powers around the world of shadow, that even some people can not understand.

Borgin Thunderhead - March 1, 2006 03:03 PM (GMT)
Borgin's temper was rising quickly again. He was a bloody dwarf, not some bloddy gnome-man. he did, however, nod in agreement with the other man that was present. When they began to speek of a need to kill, he nearly exploded. Five men with a couple of women teid up was not reason enough. "Ye think that tryin ter help a bunch o bloody women ain't reason enough to kill, eh? Well then, yer a nut," he said bluntly. 'And I'm a dwarf, ye bloody ingrate. Not some gnome-man. Get yer races strait." Puasing for a moment, he responded to her comment about the other bandits. "Ye could just wait here fer the others ter show there gutless faces. Not much else ter do." He slipped his axe into its loop and watched the woman carefully. She had a nasty temper for....whatever she was. Seemed like an elf to Brorgin, but he didn't know for sure. That would probably explain her opinion of him. Elves thought dwarves were flighty little men who only cared for dirt and rocks. Dwarves thought elvers were stuck up magicians who thought they kneww the answer to every thing. Frankly, Borgin had only thought differently of one elf in his life time, and he did not bair muc hhpoe in ever seeing her again.

He waited for a minute, then walked over to where the other women were tied up. Taking his axe out again, he lopped off the ropes holding them. Even as they were removed, the women just sat where they were, starring at him and the other two people. Borgin frowned at them. 'Well, if ye're gonna go, get goin. Ye heard the bad tempered lady, there're more o the bloody bandits commin this way.' he had said this in a softer voice, hoping the others wouldn't hear. Though it made no difference if they did or not. It would prove the woman was an elf if she heard; they had naturaly sharp ears.

Leo Card - March 1, 2006 04:07 PM (GMT)
look. Leo said turning towards the dwarf. Shut it. Keep your bad temper in check if you can possibliy do that. Though i doubt it... Leo added looking at the dwarf.

Some races. God, elfs are fine, but dwarfs are nothing but a pain in the back side. Leo thought to himself... Short arrogant, adn always the first to start a fight, and half the time, the one NOT to end it...

Lánilmathién - March 1, 2006 05:35 PM (GMT)
[Please do not post out of turn Leo...It was my turn to post....]

Lánilmathién was not one of those magicia-know-it-all elves, although she was practicing her magecraft for some internal purposes, she was also dreadfully skilled in using her blades with such percision that few could tempt the female against killing them on sight. She had always been an assassin at heart, whether it was using her blades against an enemy, or using her mind -both were sharp against humans, dwarves, and most elves alike. The gnome-man seemed to yell something, and then turn to the woman, cutting them free as he whispered something to them softly. She heard everything he said, and a smirk flooded her face as the half Sun elf, half Moon elf sighed with such grace that this man would know the beautiful blood that ran through her veins. Magic was trickling along her flesh, and if this dwarf, or gnome-man, was too primative to actually realize that, she was not sure if she could -or would- allow him the grace of life at this moment. She did, however, know who was going to die -and that was the woman who thought fleeing at this moment was the smartest thing to do. They seemed to run terrified, and the female -in response- seemed to dance and laugh with a simple smirk upon her face as she did so, laughing all the while while her cold expression was nothing but a glare. Of course, she danced within herself, not openly so the men could see her. She was not an idiot.

The Chakram of the Full Moon flooded from her hands swiftly, moving through the air in beuatiful recession, and then sliced through the necks of four of the six woman, and then returned to the female's hands. She instantly threw it out again, and it curved killing one by taking her legs, and taking the other throught the chest -and then it was caught in its master's hands, who in return crouched in a graceful position before she stood and glared at the two men once more. I know of the dark forces that work in this world, Human, I am one fo them. And as for you, Gnome-man, calm yourself down. If you freak out, you'll only let them know where we are, and that is something none of us wish for right now. She knew he was a dwarf, and she still enjoyed pestering him with calling him a gnome-man...today, it would be how she got her kicks; that and the fact that she was several feet taller and would probably sit on him as though he was a chair and call it a mistake on her part.

Leo Card - March 3, 2006 08:17 AM (GMT)
If you say you are, ma'am, then i see no reason not to agree with you. However you may want to realise that the sun is coming out soon, and i am one of the those darker people who dispise the sun. Leo said.

He was right, just through a small parting in the leaves, the sun was able to shine through, lighting the dark grass, covered in blood, and showing the true effect of a battle on the land.

Lánilmathién - March 4, 2006 03:22 AM (GMT)
Lánilmathién stood quietly, almost peacefully if she had not had the fingers wrapped around her chakram with such elegance and poise that she thought of destroying all this man had without a second though. A thin smirk flickered across her brow as she seemed to laugh maliciously at his attempt to sound like a darker creature of the night. She knew the darkness quite well, mainly because she was part of the Darkness for the past three hundred years or so. The life of an elf was always an odd and strange thing, one that dreadfully tormented the mind of this simple female -simple, yes that would be a good way to put it. She was far from being complex, but still not as simple as though others believe. She laughed at this mans belief that the sun brought upon danger, as though he was a creature of the night -as though he reigned through the night since his birth.

Lánilmathién had.

Her life had always been a plain and simple one, a dangerous one in that matter. She was a Moon Elf, or Half in plain sight, and the pale skin clearly showed her heritage, and she had stalked the night without issue, living by the moonlight for years of her life before learning about her Sun Elf half, though this was even stranger, for her eyes were always attuned and adjusted to the moonlight, and living through the darkness. She scowled coldly to the man, and this strange gnome-man who she did not see clearly as she spoke aloud. Her slender, pale lips seemed to sparkle as her ivory teeth poked into the night, twilight just waning along the horizon of this bandit camp.

Fool. A child of the Night speaks not of what they do, but instead controls when they do this. Control yourself, and hold your tongue before I cut it out for you.

[Lets just post out of turn. I didn't want Borgin to RP with us anyway...I hate three way RPs....]

Leo Card - March 4, 2006 08:42 AM (GMT)
[ok]

Leo smirked slightly.
Having a temper like that is never really the way to go. Leo said. You need.. Leo said, but before he oculd say anything else, an arrow shot through the air, and wizzed past Leo's head.

Damn, they are here. Leo said. Just one question before you cut out my toungue. Leo asked, the female elf. Defence is always a reason to kill?

Lánilmathién - March 4, 2006 03:39 PM (GMT)
The smile returned, flcikering upon her lips and playing there as though her face was the playground. She smiled cruely, she always had, and her glare did not waver at the man as she did so. She was one of those people were classified as being ver good at that sort of thing, glaring and speaking, yelling and commenting with just a single look that explained everything. That was her trademark of a sort, for she had yet to find someone else in Terrawin who shared the same skill as she did. She wanted to let her cruel laugh echoe again, but she refused to, in case her position was spoken through the air again. One arrow fell already, another would soon follow, and that one was not a warning -this one would actually hit a warm body.

She gripped the weapon softly, preparing to throw as she continued her stare at the man, the glacier blue eyes, flecked with gold, seemed to flutter swiftly as she was also able to see the images behind her without issue. Swiftly, she spoke, her voice cold in its own way as she did so, cutting the silence as the arrow had several minutes before. Swiftly, she spoke, letting her mind wander as she did so, for what she said was short and simple -plain in that matter as well.

Everything is a reason to kill

Leo Card - March 4, 2006 09:55 PM (GMT)
Leo smiled.
Prefect. He muttered.

Leo then ran forward. the blade knife still in his hand, the second arrow came towards him, Leo ducked underneath is. Another came close by, however was firing was very quick. Leo spun in the air, side stepping the thrid arrow. The foruth one nearly catch him. it was heading right for his face. Leo spun the on the spot and caught the arrow in his hand.

SHOW YOURSELF YOU COWARD! Leo roared to the air.

He threw tha air aside, and waited for there response. It wasn't a nice one.

Leo heard a sort of burning 'sound'. He looked and had to jump about 5 meters in the air, for 4 fire arrows ahd been alunched at him.

Guess they want to play hide and seek. Leo said, quietly.
