A young women with silver hair came running out of an alley and towards the inn. It was dark out and the rain came down fast and the girl was soaking wet when she got to the door. The was a loud crack of thunder as she opened the door and she was in the tavern an looked around and she smiled. Glaranduil walked in and sat down at a table and a women came over to ask what she wanted and Glaranduil replyed saying she wanted water. THen the maid left and came back moments later.

Glaranduil siped the water then looked around. It wasn't full which was good she thought, Theirs just a few people. She looked to the door which blowed open and the ws a loud crack of thunder again and Glaranduil just smiled then looked at her drink wondering. She then standed and walked to the stage which her table was next to, when she was up on the stage she digged in a bag till she brought a case out and opened it, and inside it was a beautiful elven flute, she then started to play a beautiful melody.

Kain was at the back of the Purple Lantern Tavern, sipping his dark brown-red liquior. He was completely oblivious to his surroundings; he was tired and for the first time in a long time, Kain was able to afford a good Sake, which he enjoyed so much. He took a long drink from the cup and savored the taste for a moment. Kain snapped back to reality as a young woman walked in and sat down at a table that wasn't to far away. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow, a bit confused on why such a young woman had gray hair. She was soaking wet and that confused Kain as well, but then he shook his head, remembering that it was raining.

He watched her for a little while longer, while he drunk from his cup. Finally his cup was empty and he looked at it with a smirk, he had drank the whole thing to fast. It was gone so quick. He waved his arm and called over a waitress, giving her his cup, she walked away. She knew what he ordered and she just walked away, assuming that Kain wanted another, which he did. Kain looked back at the table where they young woman was at. When he didn't see her, he took the time to look around from her.

The melody hit his ears and his eyes snapped to the stage, where she stood playing the beautiful song. His eyes widened abit and he smiled. She was very talented and Kain closed his eyes, letting the music flow through the air...

When she was done with the song she bowed to the clapping people. Her smile was a bit grim but the people couldn't see it. She then walked down to her table to get a sip of water since playing something always makes a person thirsty. When she was done drinking water she saw someone was watching and she just smiled and walked back on the stage to play more songs. She lefted the flute to her mouth and started to play another beautiful melody.

When she was done with that song she took a break and decided to go talk to the man a bit. So she walked were the man was with beautiful grace. And when she got the she said. "Greetings sir, but I was wondering if I could sit here." She said smiling and she waited. She looked to the door to see it open and people walking in then she looked back at Kain. Her Silver hair shined in the light asher eyes did.

Kain listened to more of her music, watching her intently; her smile seemed force at times, but Kain ignored it, she probably just had a rough day like him, and this was her way to relax. After her second song, which Kain also enjoyed, she began to head towards him. She walked perfectly, like she was walking on air. She came to his table and he didn't move or say anything, waiting for her to address herself. She asked if she could sit and Kain sat there for a moment, a bit dazed out but after he realized that she was speaking he snapped back to reality. He hoped that she would've thought that it was just a pause.

He examined her a little more before finally saying something, “That's fine; it'd be nice to have come company.” He waited for her to oblige, but then added, “You have a real talent there; I enjoyed your performance.” He smiled and waited for her to say something back or sit down. The waitress came back to his table and slid the cup of Sake across the table. The cup was swept up by his hand and he took a drink.

Glaranduil smiled and sat down. She listened to what Kain said and she smiled again then replyed. "Thank you, my family always said I did." She said. She never really had a femily, the close's to her was a friend that dead a long time ago but she never talked about her death. She called the maid over and ordered water and then she looked at Kain. She sat her flute on the table and on the flute was dragons around it and it looked like it shined but it didn't. "My name is Glaranduil." She said smiling.

She siped her water when it came and she gave the women a coin. She looked at her water and her reflection was a dragon that looked lost. She quickly looked away and at Kain with her shining eyes of silver. "What is your name sir." She asked thinking if he knew what she was.

Kain Dunarrow - February 10, 2006 01:53 AM (GMT)
Kain leaned his head back as she sat down. She seemed to take the compliment very well; it's not everyday Kain was able to get a compliment out without it being shoved back in his face, with the person trying to deny it. Kain nodded and sat, waiting for her to start some conversation; he seemed like he was at a loss for words. She spoke her name and he took a drink of his alcohol. He wondered why she had just openly told her name out... alot of people that he had met, they were always secretive about their names, their history, their everything. It was refreshing for a change.

Kain watched as she looked down into her water, before quickly looking back at him, asking his name. He thought she might have seen a ghost in her reflection because of the way that she looked away. Kain smirked, “Please, call me Kain... I'm far from a sir...” Kain sighed heavily, he wasn't honorable enough to be considered a “sir.” The way that he had abandoned honor, like dropping a hot iron screamed this fact out into his mind. With the thought, he took another long drink from his sake and waited to see if she would say anything else.

"Any man can be called sir, it doesn't matter if they are far from it, Kain." Glaranduil said calmly looking at Kain. Men in thinking they are not worthy of being called 'sir', she thought, why do men think that is it because some abandoned honor, or hurt thy wives, what is it, she still thought as she took a sip of water. Anyone always have honor, it doesn't mean that one little thing will kill them if they still have honor, Glaranduil thought.

"What do you do Kain, what do you do for a living?" She asked wondering. I better stop thinking of that or my mind will go insane, she thought trying to think about something else if she can.

Kain Dunarrow - February 23, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
She proceeded to push the subject further, saying that any man, whether he abandoned honor or not could be considered a ‘sir.’ Kain didn’t argue from that moment on, he just let it go at that point and waited to see if she would as anymore formal questions, as was custom in most conversations. The whole, name, job, age, deal, and he smirked as soon as she asked what his occupation was. He tried to think up something catchy, or perhaps he would actually tell the truth for once. It was amazingly odd for him to tell anyone the truth, for he had the belief that everyone lies, and if he told several, he would be just like everyone else. In Kain’s eyes, honesty was overrated, but he allowed himself to tell the truth this time.

“I am… a samurai, one that doesn’t follow the rules. I follow my own rules, it’s rather odd for me to be talking about this when I hardly know you. Would you tell me you name…” there was a slight pause and he added another word that seemed forced somewhat, “…miss…”

((OOC: I'm sry it took so long, been overloaded, and I actually forgot about this RP... I'm sry...))

"My name is Glaranduil Walthith." She said. "Everyone is secret about themselves, but lying to people brings death for other people as well as themslves." She said, knowing silver dragons say that sometimes. When he said he uses his own rules she looked down, she used to always use rules, she had failed her family, and then on she uses rules of other sorts. After about five minutes she looked up.

"My life is a failure, and not intersting, I am a simple bard trying to make a living." She said sadness in her voice looking down thinking of her failure she did. Why did I fail my family, just why did I, she thought, I'm a silver dragon, trying to help others and try to make money to stay the night at places.

((Don't worry 'bout it))

Kain Dunarrow - March 9, 2006 02:07 PM (GMT)
Kain felt awkward when the long silence came about. He was searching himself for something to say and opened his mouth to speak but her words came first. Kain closed his mouth quick and listened to what she said; claiming that her life was a failure and that she wasn’t interesting at all. Kain thought for a moment, as she finished and then he formulated a reply, “I find you interesting, otherwise we wouldn’t be talking… and as for the failure part; start over, on a clean slate, forget the past… it’s what I try hard to do and I’m still struggling with my past…”

He waited for her to respond and with her response might come insight as to a reason for him to weild the sword. It was the thing that he was searching for, it was the reason that he was still alive…
