Title: Awaiting ones arrival [p]

Griffin Longheart - February 8, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
Griffin strode silently into the bar not taking notice to his surroundings, making himself invisible to all that were truly looking for him. He slipped into a seat, the exact one he had sat with Temathil the first time. He was wearing his black cloak as always. He rose his hands to his head and slowly pushed down the hood. he glanced at the door awaiting temathil's arrival, eager for talking with her again.

Temathil - February 8, 2006 03:25 AM (GMT)
Temathil had awoken a few minutes before dawn. she always had, she never could sleep past down, neither could her parents. She never did know why. She finished washing her face and hands, and combing her hair and was adjusting her cloak and wings as she left her room. She went downstairs for breakfast, thinking the drow wouldnt show up till later in the morning.
"Surely he wouldnt show up before dawn." she thought. she figured he had things to do. What he did she did not know but everyone in the city had things to do in her mind.
She was startled to find the drow sitting at the same place he had last night. she looked around the room and only saw the barmaids and innkeeper setting up for the day. There was only one other, a human who was there, but he was passed out at the bar. She walked over to the table and waved. She didnt know if he could hear her thoughts yet so she just sat down, smiling at him. She was as giddy as her first flight with her father around the valley of her home.

Griffin Longheart - February 8, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)
Griffin watched her as she sat down opposite him. He locked his mind onto hers and concentrated as he gazed into her eyes. "Morning Temathil. I see your a bit surprised to seeing me so early." He thought to her and smirked slightly as he rose his hand and motioned for service.

Temathil - February 8, 2006 09:25 PM (GMT)
"Yes, I am suprised." she thought with a grin.
She wondered how long it might take to learn this new skill. Shes never learned anything except from her mother or father before. she fidgited in her seat. She looked around, watching the people around them set up the Tavern for the day. Well, it had been her first night in the city, and so far things looked good. She hasnt been killed, robbed, beat up, or anything else that she believed would have happened to her. Looked back to Griffin, waiting.

Griffin Longheart - February 9, 2006 12:11 AM (GMT)
"The earlier we get started, the quicker it will be. And your mind is at its most relaxed state when you wake up in the moring. He said as he saw a waitress to their table. She looked at the two of them, as she awaited their orders. "Black herbal tea, no sugar." He said plainly to the waitress before turning to Temathil. "And would you like anything?" He thought to her.

Temathil - February 9, 2006 12:16 AM (GMT)
"No thank you, im fine." she thought.
She was unable to eat or drink. Her excitement consumed her. She wondered why the mind was so at ease in the morning. She always wondered what the day might hold. Will something bad happen? Good? Both? She never knew.

Griffin Longheart - February 9, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
Gill nodded at her then turned back to the waitress. "That is all." he said and the waitress set off towards the bar. He turned his gaze back to Temathil. "Seeing the quiet of the pub today, would you mind having todays lesson here?" He thought to her. He had originally planned on going somwhere more private and peaceful but seeing as the pub had little to no people in it anyway he found moving wouldn't make much of a difference.

Temathil - February 9, 2006 03:40 AM (GMT)
"I am fine wherever." she replied, watching the girl go. She wondered if the barmaids lived here for how late the inn stays open and how early it opens. she looked around to see if there was some kind of door to a bedroom or something but she didnt see anything. she turned back to Griffin, waiting.

Griffin Longheart - February 10, 2006 08:16 PM (GMT)
"Ok, so how do you feel, I mean mentally? Is your mind clear, free, and rid of all distractions?" He thought to her as he looked into her eyes, awaiting her reply. He wanted to see if she could keep her eyes locked onto his own, afterall, eye contact was an important key in looking into ones mind.

Temathil - February 11, 2006 06:25 AM (GMT)
Temathil breathed in deeply and looked into Griffins eyes.
"Yes." shethought.
She cleared her mind, and tuned out everything in the bar.

Griffin Longheart - February 11, 2006 01:02 PM (GMT)
Griffin let down all the magical barriers in his mind and opened it completely to her. "Now reach out with your mind, and enter my mind." Though to her, his gazed still locked into her own. He wasn't worried if she saw too much in his mind, few ever were able to enter another's mind on their first couple tries.

Temathil - February 13, 2006 12:24 AM (GMT)
Temathil locked her eyes with his and concentrated, trying to reach out with her mind. She couldnt do it though, and she tried concentrating harder, she tried staring deep into Griffins eyes, and trying to push with her mind. she didnt know what to expect, she didnt even know if she really failed or not. she kept concentrating harder. Sweet began to bead on her forehead. She tried to get more comfortable, thinking it might help. she sat back in the chair and crossed her legs, and holding her ankels, looked back into Griffins eyes, concentrating as hard as she could.
Suddenly she thought something happened, she thought she saw something that she never remembered. This broke her conentration though and she blinked, taking a cloth, wiped her forehead.

Griffin Longheart - February 13, 2006 01:13 AM (GMT)
Griffin looked at her, waiting for the feeling of her presence entering his mind. As he began to give up on her attempt he felt a small ounce of her mind in his, but it was gone as quickly as it came. Griffin's deep reddish eyes flashed curiously as he gazed at her. "That was great. Few can ever penetrate into ones mind on their first try but you came just that close." He thought to her, his eyebrows raised in surprise.

Temathil - February 13, 2006 06:13 AM (GMT)
Temathil looked at Griffin with a grin.
"Really! I did it!?" she thought excitedly. "What do i do now? Do i try again?"
She was excited now. Shed done it, she really had.

Griffin Longheart - February 13, 2006 08:49 PM (GMT)
"Its one thing to enter ones mind, it is another thing to control how far." He thought to her, as he gazed intently at her. "You may find yourself too far into ones mind, seeing their memories, dreams, thoughts, and even emotions. This is wrong, and is extremely dark magic. It is also dangerous, for your opponent, if strong enough in his or her mind, will be able to set up barriers preventing one from entering their mind. These barriers can possibly hurt you, or even kill you. You must remember, ones body is nothing without the mind." He thought as he looked into her eyes. She had to know this, for one must understand the mind to weild its power.

Temathil - February 14, 2006 03:50 AM (GMT)
Temathils eyes widened at this information. She didnt think she could die from entering ones thoughts. This brought on a new fear in her. She thought it would be like talking, just put your thoughts into the persons mind. She never guessed it would be extremly dangerous.
She nodded her understanding to Griffin.
"Then what would you like me to do?" she thought.

Griffin Longheart - February 14, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)
"When you attempt to enter ones mind always have their approval first. It is extremely rude to do it, for it is almost like looking into ones diary, but much worse." He said as he gazed at her. "Like when I first met you..." He added...

Temathil - February 15, 2006 05:09 AM (GMT)
Temathil thought for a minute then asked, "How can i ask permision if i cant speak?"
This was redundant information to her. Asking a mute to ask if she could think to them. She giggled a little at the image. She put a hand to her mouth, growing red.
"Sorry. I just thought it was a funny image." she said, looking at her ankels.
"Please, continue."

Griffin Longheart - February 15, 2006 07:34 PM (GMT)
Griffin couldn't help but grin. "Perhapse you could lightly ask once through telepathy if they minded. If they do, then restablish your telepathic connection to them." He said as he looked at her.

Temathil - February 16, 2006 04:13 AM (GMT)
Temathil nodded.
"Do you want me to try again?"she asked.
In truth she was a bit nervous trying again. She didnt want to blow her brain, or his up.

Griffin Longheart - February 16, 2006 03:41 PM (GMT)
"Remember, if you feel yourself growing tired, it means they have set up too many boundaries for you to pass. For even talking telepathically takes a tremendous amount of energy when not completely focused or relaxed. If you feel yourself growing tired, just stop, for you could pass out or worse, due to complete exhaustion." He thought to her, the grin vanishing from his face. He folded his hands upon the table and stared into her eyes. He removed their telepathic connection as he parted his lips to speak aloud. "Try once more tonight. Remember, control your mind." He muttered to her, awaiting her attempt.

Temathil - February 21, 2006 09:08 PM (GMT)
((sorry for the late reply. Comp problems.))

Temathil nodded and tooka deep breath and locked her eyes with Griffins, relaxing herself she reached out with her mind. She thought it might be easier now since she touched him once. She was wrong. She concentrated hard, reaching into his as best she can. Suddenly she felt like she wasnt fighting anymore. She blinked.
"Hello?Did I do it?" she thought.

Griffin Longheart - February 23, 2006 09:38 PM (GMT)
[[dont worry about it. I've been pretty busy lately as well.]]

Griffin heard a faint noise in the back of his mind. He attempted to focus on it so he could hear it but he was unsuccesful. He kept his gaze locked into hers, seeing if her mumblings got any more clear, but no, they did not. "I can here something on the back of my mind, however it is not clear enough to speak with." He said as he blinked and broke their concentration. "Thats enough for today, but you have made some very surprising and significant progress. You have actualy managed to gain mental contact." He thought to her and gazed into her eyes. 'I best get going." He said aloud to her as he got to his feet and smiled politely at her.
