Title: The Nightmare Returns
Description: Return of Uramo Hanok

Doppleganger - February 7, 2006 11:55 AM (GMT)
I nearly lost my life that day... in my fervorded hunt for my other self, Konahomaru. I was foolish to beleive, that I was the darkest of all shadows, dark enough even to escape Ranewens sight.... I found I was deadly wrong.

For the longests time I have dwelt as a shadow, consuming whatever I could to regain my physical body. A hard task it has been, since not many a energy worth having has come into the Gloomwood since. But now...

A dark figure came from the edges of the forest, into the almost equally dark and evil plains. The nightmare had returned, and is once again searching. Searching desperatly for that other half. Uramo looked around, like a person who had just arrived in a strange and new country, unawares.

Although, Uramo was actually perfectly aware. For so long have I hunted you! Your power has become to great for me to match! So now I must get help... Help until I can match you.

Shain Volgornd - February 8, 2006 03:53 PM (GMT)
A figure walked through the woods, cloathed in a dark cloak, cowl over his white eyes. Strands of pitch black hair hung from the front of the cowl. A gray skined, elven face was hidden deep within the cloaks hood. This was Shain Volgornd, assassin and half breed. Underneath his cloak, his hand gripped an enchanted dagger of deadly power. With but one scratch, it could slowly poison the victim with its weilders consent. Shain gripped it tightly. He had been in these woods twice before; he knew the dangers that huanted this place. Looking through the forest for any tipe of creature that could become a foe, it appeared as bright as day. One of the advantages of being half moon elf, half drow. his enhanced sight in darkness had shown itself not long ago. He could see in utter darkness, and in a type of vission that foccused on heat. Not only that, magical darknesses didn't affect him. Probably an enhancment do to the crossing of races. that was the only upside to being a mix of a drow, the powers that came whith it. the down side was the constant hunting by drow who wanted his blood for their goddess Lolth, the Spider Queen.

As Shain advanced through the forest, he noticed a shape ahead. it appeared to be a man. What was a man doing in this place. Shain was already berating himself for having to travel through here, and now others didn't have the sense to stay out. Well, it might be one of the men from the village on the other side of this place, they at least knew the forwest well. As Shain approached it, he realizedthat it had a remarckible resemblance to a man named Kona. Perhaps it was him, but it lackedan aura of light. Kona was a purly good man from what Shain knew, and had somesort of aura around him at all times. this person, no matter how much he looked like Kona, lacked the aura.

As he finally got within speaking distance, about thirty paces, Shain called out. "Kona. Is that you?" He watched the figure for any sort of reaction. Even though he put Shain on edge, Kona was good company, as long as he didn't begin to try and pry into Shains occupation. Shain waited in silence.

"Technically", replied Uramo to the man behind him. He didnt turn around just yet. And interesting thing that somebodey would come up to him and ask him if he was Konahomaru or not. It seems he has gained fame in the past few times. I doubt he has gaine fortune however... he thought to himself, still on the edge of the forest. It was midnight inside, and daylight without.

Uramo thought it interesting, although he didnt feel that way. It is the only word with which to describe the thought, the action. "There is much more to Konahomaru than he tells anyone. How well do you know him?"he asked. If this man knew Kona well, perhaps it could lead to a... encounter.

Although Uramo had now doubt that Kona was now at least 3 times as powerfull as he, he was still a master of logic. His two-handed sword, which weighed heavily on his back, would be now match for the lightning speed of his Lightning Blade and Celestian Katana. No doubt he had gotten other blades and items as well...

Shain frowned at the response. Technically? What was that supposed to mean. You were ether someone or know one in Shain's book. Listening to the question about Kona, he pondered the response for a second. Shain knew that he wouldn't like his ocuppation. He was a follower of Verrona. And he was damn powerful. Shain shuddered at the thought. It was amazing at what Kona could do. he was not someone that Shain would ever want to match blades with. not untill Shian became more powerfull himself. "Well, he's powerful, good, and friendly on my part. Thats about as far as my knowledge goes.' A though entered Shain's head. Why did this man want to know so much. Were they related. Shain could beleive that.

Out in the distance, Shain heard a loud roar. Pretty far off, but close enough to pose a danger after a while. looking to man, he said "Not trying to rush you, but it might be a good idea if we began to move along. This forest is not the most friendly of places." Indeed it wasn't. Shain had been here twice before, and was attacked both times. It was alittle dangerous. Slowly, he unsheathed his fighting knioves in case he was attacked. He looked around while waiting for a response. he did not want to be cuaght off his guard.

Uramo heard the beast as well. So far he had slain two similar ones. They were a tough breed, but he was skilled enough to take them. That and he was invisible in the shadows, and he wasnt entirely made of flesh just yet. However, this Shain fellow did seem awfully concerned. "Very well. Lead on, I shall follow." he said, drawing his two-handed sword from its sheath on his back and resting it on his shoulder.

Even if this wasnt the most freindly of places, Uramo being here made it twice as unfreindly. He could taste the fear in the air, and if he had any sense of emotion, would have thourghily enjoyed it.

Shain Volgornd - February 14, 2006 03:32 PM (GMT)
Shain nodded as the man agreed. Even so, he felt uncomfortable around him. He felt no emotions, no motivation coming from him. Shain had a bit of a skill that allowed him to detect the motives of others. This person seemed voided of emotion. Listening to the roars, he began to make his way toward the nearest town, trying to make his way around the beasts. Knives out and whirrling, he began to talk to the stranger. "So, how do you know Kona,... Whats your name.?" Shain liked to know what people were called. Unless they were a "job" at least. Pearing through the forest, he looked for any sort of movement. "And why do you seek him?" Shain could not sense the motive as he ussualy could.

Shain spotted movement off to the side. Halting, he stopped his blades, peering after it. He waited for about a minute before contineuing. He didn't like being in the open here. As he walked on, he thought about casting a cloak of darkness around himself. Well, it would be rude to do so around this man, dissapearing so suddenly. He continued to walk, waiting for a response.

"I am Uramo. I do not yet see the benefit in telling you any of my connections to Konahomaru, so I will wait until I see the proper time. I do not intend any offense to you." responded Uramo in his chilling voice. The voice of a Nightmare, the exact opposite of the holy beuaty that was Konahomaru. One and the same, and yet Yin and Yang. Tied at the most basic parts of their minds, because truly, they were the same person.

As Uramo followed Shain, he observed his fighting stance and the weapons he was using. Fightning knives, and Uramo suspected that he had smelt the dark poison of a Shadow Dagger somewhere on his person. No doubt this man was an assassin, and either on the way to or from a target. Then a beast crept around a tree and lungd forth at Uramo.

Without a word, Uramo lithly stepped back, and the brought the two-handed sword in a wide arc past the neck of the beast. It stood their, with a look of shock and pain on its face. Then, Uramo returned his sword to his shoulder. Blood started to spurt out of the beasts neck, and it collapsed. Uramo continued walking.

((Argh!! So Sorry, I forgot to use my other account instead... Just continue on as it would normally. *smacks forhead*))

Shain Volgornd - February 17, 2006 03:41 PM (GMT)
Shain nodded absent-mindedly as he listened to this Uramo. An interesting name. "Fare enough." he responded. he continued to walk forward. then he heard something step out onto the path behind him. Spinning around, he saw the man dispose of an umbra easily. He avoided the blood spurting from its neck. "We should move quicker now. That will atract more of them." he said, indicating the body. Thinking for a minute, he added, "i can help to hide us with a spell, the cloak of darkness. I am going to cast it over myself. Would you like me to do it for you as well." He waited for the man to respond.

(I don't mind. Bad post for me, I'm out of it today.")

Doppleganger - February 17, 2006 04:04 PM (GMT)
"A wise idea." responded Uramo, and cast the Cloak of Darkness over himself. It hid him extremely well, and he dispeared into the shadows almost instantly, even more well hidden than when he blended in without the spell. "Thank you for offering assistance, it is not necesary at this time." he said, and started to walk on some more.

A loud growl could be heard not far off to the east, and then one to the west. Then more. All sorts of howls, growls, grunts, and other indescribable noises were getting closer and closer. No doubt animals that could smell the spilt blood and were coming to investigate the scene in hopes of getting some food.

"We should move quicker. The beasts might be able to detect the scent of blood on my person. If we remain here, they will find me by my scent rather than my visibilty" whispered Uramo. It sounded like a low wind passing through the trees, a very strange sound, made all the more evil and nightmarish being that it came from the shadows.
