Title: [Open to All] Light Reading

Blaez - January 31, 2006 09:06 PM (GMT)
He was sitting at a private desk, his eye skimming over the pages of a book of poetry. He had always liked it, which was against his nature, but he didn't care. He flipped the page, and scanned the room quickly before continuing. Silently, of course, as he was a mute.

Beowulf - January 31, 2006 10:34 PM (GMT)
Beowulf entered the library, as silently as he could. Usually he avoided places like these, where one has to be quiete. Beowulf was disruptive in nature, and it had gotten him in trouble in the past, mainly with teachers and other scholars who were more willing to learn than he. He did not want to be here in the first place, but he had dragged himself here in a last-minute study time. Beowulf wanted to make sure he was ready for whatever might give him trouble outside of Taras' walls. "Gah! Why am I here?!" He said to himself, louder than he wanted it to be. But as he looked around, there was not a great deal of people in the library, it was almost abandoned. "Heh, just better for me." Beowulf added, this time controlling the volume of his voice. The paladin scanned over the numerous book shelves, but nothing caught his interest. He emerged from the maze of shelves, and walked over to the area where tables were set up, so that people may read books, to see if that they are to their liking. "I think I'm long overdue for a nap." Beowulf stated simply. The paladin pulled up a chair, and rested his head on top of the table, only glancing at the stranger on the other side.

Blaez - February 1, 2006 02:08 AM (GMT)
He looked up at this somewhat disruptive character and thought, Bah... pompous bast***... doesn't he know where he is... He looked back at his book and attempted to ignore this man, but it was a bit difficult. He continued on, each time turning the page, looking up.

Beowulf - February 1, 2006 04:04 AM (GMT)
Every ten seconds, when Beowulf was about to drift into a slumber, he was awoken to the turning of a page. Although you wouldn't expect it to make much noise, it irritated him after a short while. Raising his head he said, "I would be very thankful, if maybe you could enjoy your book at a slower pace." He shook his head after saying it, and returned to his sleeping. Beowulf knew he was being rude, but such was the way of a bandit. Even though Beowulf had not necessarily started his life of crime, he still thought he should keep the title.

Blaez - February 1, 2006 07:48 PM (GMT)
Blaez cocked his head back at the comment, moving his hair to show his cloth covering it, and did as the man asked, attempting to be polite. He'd only attack in retaliation at most times, so he didn't want to cause anything. He looked down at the desk and saw a small spider not very large, but because of it, he stood up in fear, unable to explain. Ah! Get it way! He wished he could say, but he couldn't, causing him to have to take his book and attempt to hit it. He brought the book down with great force, causing the desk to shake slightly, but afterwards, sat down, and went back to reading his book.

((Trying to make them longer ^_^ ))

Beowulf - February 1, 2006 10:15 PM (GMT)
Finally able to catch a few minutes of sleep, he nearly drifted into slumber, but a sudden slam of a book made Beowulf jump back out of his seat. He knew who did, but did not know why, but hoped to make it clear. "What is wrong with you?!" Beowulf asked in anger. Being awoken in such a manner irritated him to no end. "I may not be in the right place to take a nap, but you don't have to be rude about it." He said to the man, attempting to start a fight.

((Yeah, I made mine really short. >.<))

Blaez - February 1, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
He grinned slightly, but it was hidden by the cloth over his mouth. He wished he could reply, so as not to start a fight in this calm area, so he tried some hand signals, trying to imply his lack of speaking ability, such as waving his hand horizontally and pointing in his mouth. He bowed in apology, but stood there waiting to see if Beowulf understood.

Beowulf - February 2, 2006 10:32 PM (GMT)
Beowulf stood looking at the man, with a blank face, trying to figure out what was going on. He now realized that the stranger could not speak, or took the rule 'No talking' in a library very seriously. "Listen pal, I dunno where you come from, but here, when someone asks a question, its common courtesy to reply." Beowulf said, again attempting to be rude. This man had endured a great deal of the bandit's angry talk. "And if you continue this nonsense, I think I might have to throw a chair." He said, setting down his his chair. Beowulf smiled, glancing around the room. His rude statements and threats were not going to start a fight. And an old saying that rang in Beowulf's head. If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. The smile faded from his face, and he leaned in towards the stranger. "Hey, I dunno 'bout you, but I think Taras is in need of some action. What say ye to a bar fight? And no, not here." Beowulf started to say. "What say you and I meet up tonight at the local inn, and we.. uh.. start a party" The bandit finished, putting an emphasis on the word party. Beowulf leaned in closer. "When I say 'party', I mean to say you and I are gonna start a bar fight." He whispered. Beowulf hadn't forgotten that he had already stated that there was going to be a fight, he wanted to make sure that this man wasn't deaf either.

Blaez - February 2, 2006 11:19 PM (GMT)
He sighed and stood up, grabbing his katana. He unsheathed it, and dragged it along the floor, creating a terrible sound. He pulled the cloth away from his face and grinned, as if to say, 'Why wait?' He grabbed his knives, and stood in a defensive position. He held his arm out in front of him and waved towards himself, cocking his head back as well.

Nariwa Kona - February 3, 2006 12:49 AM (GMT)
Nariwa Kona had been in on the second floor the entire time that the two were squabbling. He had taken a liking to spying on people reading books, for some reason. He couldnt explain to himself why, and Nariwa had been at a lack of communication with him for some reason. Nevertheless, he almost chuckled at the small antics of the one who didnt appear to be able to speak at first, but then betrayed that when he tried to start a fight with the pretend bandit.

It was very much like a comedy that would be played out in some theater. But, the show had to come to a stop. Kona would not have minded so much if they fought elsewhere, but in the library was unacceptable. When the man with the katana said "Why wait?", Kona took it as his cue to interrupt.

Jumping over the loft rail, Kona landed in a three point stance right in-between the two squabbling men. Quickly, he drew his Lightning Blade, and the sparks flew eagerly off of it. Charging up with the shock enchantment, ready to stun any of the men that dare make any violent moves.

"I suggest you wait until you can move outside of the library," said Kona "Or I may have to interrupt the bar fight in the library"

Blaez - February 3, 2006 01:07 AM (GMT)
((I didn't say it, I implied it. "as if to say, 'Why wait?'"))

He looked over at the newly arrived man and jumped high into the air, landing at his side, quickly slashing and stopping his katana right at his throat. He gave a look that could send chills, and pulled his hair away from his right eye, as if he could see through the cloth, or even at all. He grinned slightly and jumped back away, and to Beowulf. He bowed to Kona and sheathed his katana.

Nariwa Kona - February 3, 2006 01:41 AM (GMT)
The fact that one of the men had somehow gotten their weapon unto Konahomaru's neck infuriated him beyond most reason. How did it happen? Did he get lost in thought somewhere? Were his skills becoming sub-par? Much meditation and training would be had after this night, but first, he would punish the man.

Looking up after the cold steel left his skin, his glaring eyes flashed brilliantly, and his emerald green skin glowed somewhat brighter. The man was so cocky that he would sheath his weapon and bow! But wait... It was an honorable gesture, was it not? Kona got up, and so to sheathed his sword.

"You bested me. That is something only the Goddess of Blades has managed to do in so long a time of my being here. I must learn, how was I vulnerable?" asked Kona, trying desperately not to shock the man to death, or use the Judgement spell on the both of them.

Blaez - February 3, 2006 01:52 AM (GMT)
He grinned and put his finger to his lips, keeping his secret, as he couldn't tell anyway. He smiled widely and walked politely up to Kona. He held out a small, thin piece of paper, with his name, 'Blaez' printed on it in somewhat neat handwriting, his only way to tell people, without them being telepathic. This was the highest sign of respect, as he rarely gave away his name.

Nariwa Kona - February 3, 2006 03:50 PM (GMT)
Nariwa Kona took the paper, and read it. "Blaez" was written in rather neat handwriting on the paper, and Kona reasoned that was his name, but it was forbidden to speak it for some reason. Perhaps it was a cursed name, or maybe he didnt want the other man to know it. Kona nodded, and ripped the paper to shreds and then caught it on fire with a spark from his lightning blade.

Kona looked up to read his face, but it was very difficult. This person was well trained in hiding everything. He knew exactly who and what it was, because a long time ago, he had been one himself. Nariwa Konahomaru bowed, and then smiled back at Blaez. "I would like to talk to you later. I am sure you will be able to find me, since we both know what you and I are... what I was."

Kona turned, and shoved past the fake bandit. "Dont let me catch you cuasing trouble in here again, or you will regret it, imposter." he said roughly, and continued on to the library doors.

Blaez... now there were two ninja in town. One currently practicing, and one former.

Blaez - February 3, 2006 08:18 PM (GMT)
Hmph...

He walked towards the door, slowly following Kona.

Didn't even tell me his name...

He took two of his knives and stuck them into the wall, and pulled them out, climbing up. He reached the top, and started running, but nearly silently. He jumped from roof to roof, but slowing down a bit as he got closer. He stood directly above Kona, and looked down.

Heh...

Nariwa Kona - February 3, 2006 09:12 PM (GMT)
((If you want to RP with me more, PM me and I will make a topic in the Temple of Swords.))

Konahomaru paused outside, but didnt look around. Smiling, he said one sentence just clear enough for Blaz to hear it. If he actually was a ninja, the words would ring clear and loud for him however. "Nariwa Konahomaru... Your knives." Then he set off at a brisk pace towards the Temple of Swords. He would practice and meditate until he found that weakness, and then weaken the weakness.

Perhaps it was possible to learn the old arts again? Most likely not. Blaez definetly practiced the darker form of ninja arts, he could feel his evil alignment in his presence. Kona had practiced those of the light, using light as an illusor to trick those who were looking for the assailant to come from the shadows.

Except, one person, one demonic mage, expected him to come from the light. And that is why Kona is now on Imythess, rather than fighting the eternal war between the Celestials and the Demons.

Beowulf - February 4, 2006 02:08 AM (GMT)
((Holy crap, sorry I'm so late to reply. >.<))

Everything had happened so fast, Beowulf barely had anytime to respond to anything. Blaez and he were about to fight, but someone had interrupted. He came from a floor above, jumping imbetween the two. From looking at the man, Beowulf could easily tell that the stranger was much more skilled than the bandit. But before he could respond to the intruder on Blaez's and Beowulf's fight, Blaez had already swung at the stranger, stopping his blade near the man's neck. Perhaps I was wrong.. Maybe he isn't what he acts to be." Beowulf thought, as the stranger spoke to Blaez. What is this? He thinks he can inter-- The bandit started to think. His thoughts were cut off short, as the man passed Beowulf, calling him an imposter. All he could do was watch in anger as the two left. The bandit would not let this go. Infuriated, Beowulf left the library. For now, he would seek training, until he had the means of confronting this stranger again.

Blaez - February 10, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)
He listened to the words, sitting, somewhat, on his toes.

"Nariwa Konahomaru... Your knives."

He thought quicly and set off at a pace to... predict where he was headed, then thinking back at the statement more clearly.

Ah... okay....

He realized where his was going, and set off to somewhat, meet him there.
