Title: Watching
Lánilmathién - January 30, 2006 12:57 AM (GMT)
The rain pounded the streets heavily at this hour of the night. Warm bodies flooded together as they pushed and shouldered their way through the city. Everyone thrust passed everyone else, and few noticed who they ran in to. If they knew, they would have checked their coin purses –few checked or even noticed the slight lift in weight. And few even glanced at the young female who was shrouded in a black ranger’s cloak. If they had noticed her, they would begin to fight at the amount of coin purses she held in a small bag at her waist.
Lánilmathién moved quickly, stepping into the library, following a rich looking man. She carefully slipped behind a column, and when she knew no one was looking, she continued her quick paced steps through the library. She passed shelves upon shelves of books, and quietly found her way into the darkest and quietest corner of the whole area. A smile was upon her pale, thin lips, and her black eyes shifted slightly, checking to make sure she was not being watched.
She removed the hood of her black cloak, and her raven hair seemed to tumble down on the outside of the cloak now, ending around her waistline. Her eyes were carefully examining everything around her, and her frame was not seen underneath the large cloak. Her steps were quick, her eyes nothing but slits as she threw the cloak over her shoulder, revealing the black leather clothing fitting tightly over her flesh. A scimitar was belted at her waist, and the cold silver of the sheath, had crimson roses etched along the edges. The hilt was the same silver metal, and leather was wrapped all around it.
Magic ran around this scimitar quickly, and molded around it through several different weaving patterns. The orange and crimson colors streaked together and molded through the metal, enchanting it to become a Flame Scimitar. Lánilmathién increased her pace once more, and grabbed hold of two books standing out from the shelves as ledges, or handhelds. She gripped the leather binding books, and lifted herself as she climbed to the top of the wooden shelves. She posed in the shadows, laid on the wooden shelf, and watched as unsuspecting people entered the library and began to walk through it slowly.

Ethan Decisus walked into the library soaking wet and jittery from the crowd... He flutterd down a ailse and notice a wet vertical row of books and pondered of how it happend. Though still wet he would investigate later once dried by the orange soothing heat of the fire.
He layed his Bow and arrows down to search for a book to read while he dried further. In the meantime he walk up and down the ailes of books searching for one on archery.

Her gaze flickered carefully on a man who entered the library dripping with rain water. She smiled in amusement, and laid her head in her hands as she watched. She did not get caught when she was up here –or, by the library staff she didn’t- and so she was here most every day, watching and observing while she had the time. A smile was in her face as she shifted uncomfortably, slightly, and continued to gaze.
The man seemed to put his bow down and quietly scanned the book shelves. The first thing she noticed –as all Assassin’s would- was that this man was scanning the section with archery books, and fighting books in it. She could only smile as she slowly inched her away across the shadows and darkness on the top shelf to catch sight of the books close to the man.
odd… she whispered quietly to herself…This man was exploring sections on archery, yet his bow was not far from the reaches of two thieves. She didn’t move, and sat quietly, watching still.
Ethan Decisus - February 1, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
As Ethan stood infront of the Archery section he thought of his bow a exiles weapon for hunting prey only; he hoped one day he could retreve a Tethelin bow from the Grand Guard.... As time went on he heard a slight shuffle from the shelves behind him. He turned quick to see a object is the shadows above but being color blind he could not make the object out, but a small portion of a gray-ish sheath with roses on it. With this sudden rush of movement he felt for his bow, but he had forgotten where it was. "Darn this amnesia!" he spat out of his mouth with a large bit of disgust. He emideatly returned to were he had stopped to find a old man fiddling with it... "Give me that" Ethan said with haste,"go meddle with someone elses afairs." He saw he had frightend the man away rather cruely; a nasty habit he learn as a guard.
As he looked down he retrieved his bow and arrows and made his way towards the archery section once more; to find a seat faceing the entire library in hope of seeing something move above him, but what he was looking for he had forgotten.
Taking a seat facing the entire library he began to read "The History of Archery:Volume 1".

She stood quietly, staring at the man gently as she watched, not bothering to care if she was seen or not. Quickly –as not to let anyone knew she even existed- she scaled halfway down the bookshelf, and leapt the short distance to another sturdy wooden shelving unit, which didn’t move at her touch. Lánilmathién was not one to generally follow anyone, or leave her position in the corner as she watched, but this man deeply intrigued her.
Why would a man with a set of bow and arrows read about them instead of practice them? This thought puzzled her mind, and she smiled slightly as she ran over it once more. She was not one to peep over what others were reading, and so, carefully, as if she was stalking yet another of her prey, Lani carefully double barrel rolled over the wooden area, and landed carefully on the top of the shelf. She was skilled in maneuvering in this library after spending so much time here lately.
Her tightly laced boots made no noise as she carefully and quickly moved through the area, skipping from one shelf to another in the shadows. One would not find her –she was too quick. This library had been close to a home since she first came to Imythess, and it was not rare at all to find her skipping gracefully among its shelves, lifting one book after another to read.
Her free-flowing dark clothing moved around her curving form as she moved her words cold and quiet as she walked. She called upon magic of the darkness, and a claw extended behind the man. Outstretching her own hand, she gently maneuvered her fingers so the shadow moved with her. The magic flowed freely, and a single slender shadowed finger poked the man’s shoulder, and then evaporated completely. She wished to giggle, but she did not, and she stepped further into the darkness, watching the man she enjoyed following.

What was this someone wanted help in the library? EThan turned quick to find no one. This was scarey to him him emediatley readied arms to fire on the goblin who had done this. He took fly and waited to see a object. In his midst the a object was noticed looking at Ethan wanting to question it. Ethan eased closer to the figure and asked "Did you happen to see anything tap my shoulder....miss?"
Ethan senced a playful person under this cloack but full of mystery. She seemed to have a guilty conscience of theft.
Lánilmathién - February 3, 2006 12:34 AM (GMT)
Without another word or gesture, Lánilmathién dropped from her perch on top of the bookshelves, her feet treading the ground softly as she did so, and she turned quickly. She made no noise as she moved, and quickly, she found her way through the isles of books to the door. She was not willing to put up with anyone at the moment, and this man proved to be no fun…She had not been seen, of course because she had already cloaked herself easily in the shadows cast on the top of the wooden shelves.
She did not stop, and quickly pulled the hood of her black cloak over her head, the hood resting gently on her features as she entered the rain. She would not see this man again, so she knew and hoped, and if she did, she would leave just as quickly as she did now…She was not one to stay in one place for long, and in the deepest part of the night, She disappeared, never to see or hear from this man again.
{sorry, Had to leave…She was sitting in the Shadows, Hiding the best she could, in a black cloak none the less, and your colorblind character apparently saw her? If he was colorblind…Wouldn’t he think she was part of the darkness? XD Sorry, maybe another time}
