Title: Meditating

Nariwa Kona - December 2, 2005 06:58 PM (GMT)
((Not for Hymwen, will be a different topic. :D ))

Konahomaru walked through the huge double doors of the temple. He was always welcome here, and in a sense, this place was his home. Being the Chosen one of the Goddess of Blades had its perks. The temple wasnt grandiose, like the Temple of Day, nor was it as massive as it, but it somehow carried a buety and power to it that rivaled all other temples.

There were so many corridors, rooms, armories, some rooms were entirely empty, others had things so old that nobody knew what they did exactly. Except maybe Veronna. Before now, he had lived a very nomadic lifestyle. Kind souls house to kind souls house, tavern to tavern, village to village.

Once wondering as far as Balefire, and the Underdark. That was an interesting trip. Kona turned down a hallway, and stopped for a moment. Somebody was here that did not feel familiar. Veronna was no doubt in her quarters sleeping, or maybe occupying herself with something else. Kona did not want to rouse her, and even if he did, he did not know where her quarters were.

He shook it off. Maybe Uramo was active again. He started down the hallway, and came to his favorite room. If he ever did become God of Blades, long live Veronna instead, this would be the room he would stay in. Kona grabbed the latch, and pulled. The heavy wooden door creaked in complaint, as Konahomaru swung it out and walked in.

He reckoned it was the least ornate room inside the temple, as it had only plain stone walls, a few chests and a bed. Kona had only in fact slept in here once. In the middle of the room was a straw mat. Kona walked to it, and sat down.

Time to meditate. Body and sword as one, but the mind being greater than both combined. The strongest and quickest creature in the universe could not hope to win against somebody with a stronger mind, and hence a stronger will. Kona delved deep inside himself, exploring memories, gaps were memoris used to be. Voids where there used to be human, and were now empty.

A result of that wicked mage. Kona wondered, could he even be counted as half human, half celestial? There was very little human left in him, except for his body and most basic feelings. The need for food, sleep, the need to survive. All other things were from his celestial heritage. His power, intelligence, justice, skill.

It was Konahomarus beleif that somewhere in his mind, his humanity was hiding. Not destroyed, but moved, into the deepest reaches of his mind. And in the deepest reaches, were the deepest evils. The ones inherited from his father, who in fact had been one of the most evil lightning mages to curse the earth. Great pain filled Kona when he went down that route, pain that he could not withstand.
