Title: A perfect place for making enemies...
Description: -Black Guardian-
Malik - November 9, 2005 12:44 AM (GMT)
Malik sat with his back against an elderly, tall tree. The bark of the tree was a deep tan with dark brown lines running through the bark segments and through the flaky parts of the bark segments. There was a spot on the tree where a young buck had scraped his antlers against the bark to rid himself of velvet which to Malik's understanding could be quite irritating and itchy. Malik had his harp in hand and his sword on his back. He twinged the strings on the harp and the made a melodic sound with every twang of his fingers against the strings. He soon began making notes in a rythmic order to create a fashionable song.
Birds tweeted from branches above his head and the bushes not more then fifteen feet from him. Animals, birds especially, loved the sound of music in a forest, especially when it came from an elf. Though Malik was merely one quarter elven, it made no difference to these animals, nor the plants. Malik was honoring the great tree that he leaned against to entertain none others than the animals and himself. He was honoring the tree and yet the tree was honoring Malik in return for lending him a spot of rest and a place to play his brilliant sound, his grand music. The tree was honoring Malik with the gift of life that it gives to so many. Malik loved it in the forest, he loved the Earth, he loved Imythess, and he loved Nature. This was, undoubtedly, where he had grown with the Druids, not far from the spot he sat at now, though they had moved to a different area of Imythess by now. He continued to play is music in reverance of himself and as if he were playing on autopilot, he continued to play as he slowly drift into the realm of dreams...
Black Gaurdian - November 9, 2005 12:55 AM (GMT)
As Azrial flew over the forest he could here the faint sound of music in the distance. "Music usually means people." He said looking at a crow that had been beside him as if speaking to it. "Maybe I can have a little fun today." He waved his hand casting minor wounds and the crow fell on a nearby tree killing it. "Pathetic creature." He thought as he altered his course and began to head in the direction of the music.
The wind in this area was getting softer making it more difficult to fly but easier to hear where the music was coming from. When he was about a half a mile away he landed in a small field and began to walk the rest of the way. When he arrived he noticed a man sitting in the branches of one of the trees.
By this time all the birds in the area had flown off in fear of him and what was left where a few dear nearby that couldn't see him at the moment. "You play very well." He called up to the man. "I hate good music. Would you be kind enough to stop playing?" He hoped his insult would be enough to get the man angry but was not entirely sure it would work.
Malik - November 9, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
Malik looked around and watched as the birds flew in fright, he knew something was coming and then he heard the creature's voice, "You play very well. I hate good music. Would you be kind enough to stop playing?" Malik smiled and jumped down from the tree. He looked at his harp and then looked back at the creature.
He spoke using a soft, yet sarcastic tone, "Would you rather have me play music that is terrible?" He held his harp up and said, "Such as this?" as he scratched the cords that connected to either end of the harp making a screeching sound that would sure send the rest of the birds away from the area. The tree head had been against creeked a bit and the wind rustled it's leaves, though there wasn't a wind at all. "Tell me Sir, what is so marvelously terrible about good music? This sounds a bit like an oxymoronic statement to me."
He placed his harp on the ground, leaning against the old tree from before and stood where he was in neither an offensive or defensive stance, for he was plainly standing. His small blue hoop earings showed nicely in the sunlight and his brightly lit blonde hair showed even moreso, though his hair was beginning to turn more of a dirty blonde with the changing of seasons.

Azrail laughed a bit at the man's remark and replied by saying "Don't be to affended. It's not your music, It's all of it in general." He then grinned a bit and said "Tell me, are you much of a fighter? I havn't had a good challenge in a while and I was hoping to get a little excercise today."
Azrail saw the man's sword and knew his current magic power would most likely be to little to be much of a threat to him but hoped that he could fool the man into to thinking he was stronger than he appeared.
By now all the animals within a mile had fled. "This will probobly be one of the most difficult matches iv'e had in a long time. lets see if I an still stand up to the challenge." he thought as he removed his staff from its hiding place within his cloak.
Vestein - November 9, 2005 04:12 PM (GMT)
A blood curdling sound of bones scraping together and ligaments tearing came from a patch of bushed near by. Vestein stumbled out panting, transformations were painfull.
"If malik isnt up to a fight I will gladly fight insted of him." He looked at the hodded figure.... he was sure he'd seen that same person before.... wings. "hope you dont mind me popping up out of the blue Malik but its a long story." He had been tracking Malik for a day as he was aparently traviling in the same direction so he may as well travele in company.
The pain subbsiding Vestein stood up fully "You look very heroic there Malik by the way. I like the hair thing you've got going." His own hair was a matted mess of dreadlocks that looked more a dead animal than anything ells. Seeing that this was some kind of grudge fight he steped back "Malik if you do need help im just over here."
Black Gaurdian - November 9, 2005 09:21 PM (GMT)
"Now there's two of them." Azrail thought as the strange person came out from the bushes. "I'm sure I've seen him before...thats right, in Taras. Oh well the more the merrier I suppose." To begin the fight he waved his hand toward Malik casting inflict minor wounds then flew into the tree Malik had just jumped from.
"I promise you, this will not be as easy a fight as you might think." He said as he reached the top.
((OOC:Sorry it's a little shorter than my others. I'll try to make it longer next time))
Malik - November 9, 2005 09:49 PM (GMT)
Leaping out of the way, Malik pulled his shield off of his back [OOC:: I've bought a shield, administration hasn't processed purchase yet, so if it's okay with you guys, may I use it here?], and hit the ground with the shield first, rolling to his feet. The cast spell struck a plant behind him and Malik watched as it shrivled up and died. Malik smiled at Vestein, "I was here first, I get first round," as he leapt up onto the branch. He could see the dark figure in the branches above. "So the geezer can run can he? We know he can climb!" Malik exclaimed from below. He jumped quickly from branch to branch, have little trouble, but nontheless, there was a bit of trouble with the smaller, flimsy limbs. He chopped at the creature's feet, stricking branches. "Don't worry my ugly nemesis, the fight for you won't be easy either. Perhaps a bit fun in the end," Malik shouted at him.
Branches from Malik's chopping fell to the ground. They were all small branches. He was trying not to hit the thicker limbs in result of a dulling blade. A dull blade wasn't worth much, but nonetheless, it would hurt a bit more when inserted into an enemy's body, now wouldn't it? Leaves fluttered down and small twigs cracked against the rocks below. The branches were still green and the tree's nectar seeped from open wounds. Malik saw this and quickly climbed down from the tree. He turned to Vestein and spoke, "Try not to harm the trees, they'll help us. GET DOWN YOU GEEZER!"
Black Gaurdian - November 9, 2005 09:59 PM (GMT)
Azrail had jumped into the air when the man swung at his feet. He was now floating only a few inches inches over the ground. "My name is Azrail." He said to the man, paying no attention to the man standing to the side. "You would do well to remember that."
When he had flown into the tree earlier he had gotten a cut that was bleeding slowly now. Looking at it he said "I hope this is not the best you can do..." Then placing his hand over the wound a black aura began to imminate over it. "Becouse if it is you don't stand a chance." With this said and the spell complete he removed his hand and the wound was healed. Only the blood from the wound still remained.
With the wound heeled he flew high into the air, directly into the sun, then folded his wings behind him and began to descend quickly. With his staff in his right hand he fell straight towards his opponent.
Malik - November 9, 2005 10:20 PM (GMT)
Malik stood and smiled a bit. He put his hand on his brow, keeping the sun away from his eyes and watched Azrail fly into the sky and descend. He said to himself, "Suicidal fool is what I aught to call you."
As Azrail grew closer, Malik jumped into the air with his right leg further from Azrail than his left. He raised his left so that it was flat against the inner part of his right leg. He straightened his right foot and ankle so the top of his foot was aligned as straight as it could be with his shin. He raised his leg in a hasty speed and swung it from the right towards Azrail's neck and jaw area. Straightening his leg while still in air, he used his sword and shield for balance and guard. Malik's first attack was a failure, he misjudged Azrail's descent. Malik winked at Azrail as he caught a quick glimpse of his face. Will still in mid air, he swung his arms to his left as hard as he could, spinning him in mid air, he shot his left foor up and back, straight for Azrail's chest in hopes to knock the wind out of him at the least.
Malik's right foot connected with the ground and his left foot connected with something, but he wasn't sure if it was just an illusion, a block, or a hit. He turned around to see.
Black Gaurdian - November 9, 2005 10:30 PM (GMT)
As Azrail descended he saw that the man was trying to hit him while he was in mid-air. Seeing that the man was going to miss he continued forward thinking "You fool, you can't fly, how do you plan to hit me like that."
Becouse the man had already missed he did not expect a second attempt. Unprepared for the attack, when he did see it coming he had only little time before the man's left foot would impact with his chest. He quickly pulled his staff downward blocking part of the man's foot but his heel still managed to hit.
He was thrown to the ground but cought himself on his feet and flew a few feet in the air and placed his hand over his chest once again healing the wound. "You may be a better fighter than me with weapons but unless you can give me a more serious injury that will not help you in the least."
With his wound healed he landed about 50 feet from the man and said "So shall we continue? I believe it's you turn to start this time." With a grin he put his staff out in front of him preparing for anything the warrior might throw at him.
Vestein - November 10, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
Vestein canoned into Azrail from behind Bolling him over with his mass. ((soz if its god modding but i i didnt then i would be screwed for the rest of the post)) Upon hitting the floor he roled and swiftly jumped landing on his feet Then wirling around he drew his crossbow. "keep your eyes on both of you enemys Azrail." He took carfull aim and fired rejoycing in the kick of the bow and the sound of the arrow.
((soz if its short but im doing this in an I.T lesson so i have to write quick or the teacher i'll catch me.))
Black Gaurdian - November 10, 2005 08:39 PM (GMT)
As Vestein rolled into Azrail he was taken by complete surprise. Laying on the ground he had little time to recover from the blow before the arrow came flying towards him. Pushing up with his hands then using his wings and legs to push himself to the side he dodged the arrow, waching as in flew past, not even an inch of space between him and the arrow.
"Is this what you call honor? I've seen more of it among thieves." He said looking at the man who had just hit him. "I thought your child of a friend told you to stay out of this? My ears must have decieved me. I'll make you regret what you just did."
As soon as he said this he waved his hand once again, this time casting inflict minor wounds on both of his opponents. "Lets see how quick you really are." He thought knowing they could not work together if they where both under attack at the same time.
Vestein - November 10, 2005 08:51 PM (GMT)
"Honour dosnt keep you alive nor does it keep you company on the long treck honour is for those who live sheltered lives and fools." He was surprised at the quick reactions of Azrail but not as quick as those of a wolf... His question was like a warning for Vestein he knew the spell was coming but he didnt know what a good shot he was.
Vestein dived and twisted in the air because of the spell, the movement was awcward and anything but grace full but he dodged the spell, but at a price.
He landed heavel on a rock causeing a fair sized cut and a large bruse on his arm. He began to rise to his feet and spoke has he did so "You are a good shot my friend."
He reached his feet and then pulled out his barbarian heavy blade. That spell will not kill a man and would certenly not me. "Oh and fair sir I am no child."
