Title: Tastey treats

A delightful smell tickled Vernon's nose. He couldn't help but follow that which most others would call a stench. As Vernon got closer the smell gave more details of it's source. It was a carcass, prehaps only a few days from death. Seemed to be fawn, diseased at that. The disease was likely it's cause of death. But, none of these facts intrigued Vernon. The most important inforation he had gathered that it was decayed meat, he couldn't ask for much more than that.
When Vernon finally got to the remains of the body he found, he was pleased to see that the meat wasn't touched by many scavengers, though it came as little surprise as the meat was diseased. Vernon pulled out a dagger and sat down next to the corpse. He was glad his smelly bag of rotten goods was running empty, for he wouldn't be eating it all in one sitting even with the help of his rats who had now left bag and were now taking part in their share of the fawn.

"Looks tasty dosnt it." Vestein said from the deepths of a tree.
He swong down dangeling by his legs from a thick branch. And rested his hair dangeling down, His sword began to slip out of its sheath untill he grabed it.
"I came across it about an hour ago... part of me wanted to eat it but my other side wanted to wait for a scavanger to come along... to bad it looks like i will have to look ells were." He laughed "Well i cant eat you can I"
He hoped this person would be friendly or at least to some extent.... or what he said wouldnt go down to well. Slipping deliberatly off his branch he landed on both feet. brushed himself down, pulled a few leaves from his hair and walked over to [Vernon]. He extended a hand.

"Hehe, I dare say you couldn't begin to try. I don't mean to turn anyone away from a meal, you may join us if you like. I can't promise your well being afterwards though," Vernon snickered in response still not loooking up. Vernon looked up a Vestein and gave not hint of noticing or caring for Vestein's waiting hand, Instead the air was given a few good sniffs. Vernon from scent alone quickly came to the conclusion that the man before him was a Lycan, inflicted werewolf to be more precise. He wasn't quite in the mood to bring the already diseased chap to an untimely end.
"I'm sure you wouldn't live more than...," Vernon said before slowly sucking on a peice of meat in his mouth. After a thoughtful pause, Vernon resumed," Not even a full twenty four hours." "Hehe, you'd probably die in about twenty. But of course if you are seeking death anyways free to join us, I could describe every movent of your growing illness till that fatefully moment when you die. Oh and I daresay after that I would then be able to make up for any food lost here, you might even taste better," Vernon snickered sadisticly, seeming to lick his lips with his last few words.
(Sorry it took so long, I had a few delays.)

((I dont mind ive been away my self))
Seeing that the [vernon] was unintrested in his out streached hand he withdrew it quickly with out missing a beat. "I dought i would die... i dought i would even become ill but in my present form I probably wouldnt be able to eat it.... i geuss you could say it's the one part of me thats human." He turned to smell the air in the vain hope that there were any deer near but there hadnt been any for several days, and he was starting to get hungry.
"Oh and if I do die then my body is yours for the taking.. I wont realy be wanting it after that... However the thinly vailled hints are none to kind." He laughed he realy needed a rest and some food.
((soz its so short i dont have the time to do a good one right now))

Vernon rolled his eyes as Vestein claimed that he could probably safely eat the meat even if only in his werewolf form. If only he knew how foolish it was to disagree with a master of the matter. None knew of diseases and illnesses better than himself.
Vernon gave Vestein an odd look as Vestein spoke of offering his body if he did die. Perhaps the poor kid was delusional or maybe just trying to say something nice. Either way the guy was odd.
"Just beacause you are a werewolf, inflicted at that, doesn't mean that you can anything you want without the reprecautions. A meal of this fawn will kill about as well as hand full of wolfsbane. Trust me, you'd rather die of starvation," Vernon said shaking his head.
"If you are indeed hungry enough to care less about your health, I have some food that keep you sick for a good while, as opposed to dead forever. Can't promise that your stomach will agree with the food though," Vernon snickered.

Taking a few steps back he sat down in the grove of a large oak tree. "It would take more than the natural desises that apear on the body of a fawn to kill me but im not arguing with you... you seem to know a lot about such things you must be an assasin. But its oviuse... the weapons you carry would only be used well by an assasin."
As he layed back he took a deep inhale of air then stoped suddenly, somthing was near by and it hadent been here a few seconds ago... it wasnt an animal that he knew nor was it human... unless it had masked its sent... "Somthings near by its not an animal and i dont think its a human and it cirtanly wasnt here a few seconds ago." He stayed ware he was but he put his hand ont his crossbow. He wondered what [vernon] would make of it.
The smell was geting stronger as it neared them. It smelt dirty and unclean, then he relised what it was. It was a group of orcs how did he mistake them? They had such a clear sent. He relaxed orcs wernt to hard to best in combat... although there were more than one or two that could best him in battle.
Vernon - November 28, 2005 07:55 PM (GMT)
An assassin? That had nothing to do with his knowlege of diseases, plauges, and illnesses. A good Assassin afterall would only concern himself with poisons, but Vernon was not all about to bother correcting Vestein.
Vernon paused at the mention of a strange scent. Vernon closed as he concentrated on his sense of smell. Orcs were indeed headed towards them. Vernon wasn't surprised he had missed their scent, he such things often happened when delightful decayed matter tickled his nose. The Orcs weren't far off, and even now could be heard by Vernon's keen ears. They were moving quickly, making it even easier to hear them. They were traveling in a group of maybe ten or eleven heavily equipted orcs. They probably didn't planning on keeping their pace long.
Vernon showed no hint of surprise, or even worry. "Just a bunch of stupid Orcs, nothing at all to worry about," Vernon smiled as he cut off another slice of meat. While chewing on the slice, Vernon contemplated how much effort it would take to clean out the Orcs. Orcs did taste much better than deers, at least to him.
