It had been a a long week for Meera. It seemed as if in one short amount of time, everything had come crashing down. She even doubted that she could trust herself now. It seemed as if her friends had slowly drifted away, for she hadn't seen any of them in quite a long time. She herself had been rushing around as well, never seeming to have any time to just enjoy the moment. In a way, she hadn't wanted to enjoy anything. Somehow she felt that she was cheating herself by having a moment to just gather her senses. She didn't know what would happen if she thought things over, but it was a direction that she hadn't seemed to want to go in. She didn't know why, but it was almost as if an inner sense had changed her and she would not or could not go back to the way she was before. Just like all things, she ran out of jobs to keep her busy. Surprisingly, it felt good. It felt like she was able to take a clean breath for the first time. It took a while, but her body felt somehow cleansed when she took a break. She soon began to feel more like herself. Meera still wasn't quite the same way she was before, but everyone changes. Once she realized that she had many ideas to contemplate, Meera began to think of places where her thoughts could run freely and not be interuppted.
So here she sat, on the edge of the monument that stood regally on the edge of the waterfall. Her bare feet dangled over the side, hovering above the large drop that the water fell over. The soft mist tickled her toes feeling luxoriously cooling. Meera tilteed her head back and streched her wings out. She couldn't help but laugh at how naive she had been to think at all that this was not a pleasent sensation. To share the moment, she had only brought one companion that she did not normally spend time with. That was Marqee, her majestic eagle. He was the only one she felt was safe to bring up here. All the other ones could not fly and could possibly get very hurt from a fall off of the steep drop. Marqee could fly so that was not a problem. He sat perched lightly on Meera's shoulder. Even though he was a large bird, Meera's shoulder had grown used to the heavy bird and was able to support his weight. Her green eyes were not trained on Marqee though for the moment. She was instead scanning the immense green valley that lay below. If she had been watching Marqee, she may have noticed the slight change of his attention as his head swivled towards the shore. His sight was a lot better than hers though, so he could see something she couldn't. Despite that though, Meera didn't notice a thing, and continued to look breathlessly at the beauty that was Imythess.
