Well I was thinking as I was looking through the shops that there are some things that aren't available and rather then lists dozens upon dozens of possible addons I had the idea that what if members were allowed to open there own shops.
Now as we know this would mean lots of gold points going up so I had this idea to counter that. 1/2 of the item's payment would be used as payment to refill their items. Also that would mean however still lots of people would getting shops so I say we have a purchase amount so a shop would be lets say 300.
Still though another problem people could just list whatever they want but heres another solution. They can't sell anything that's already listed and available to the populace and there must be a theme to it so let's say [my idea *pattens it :P *] Bane's shop of magical wonders so that would mean everything would have to be magicaly themed.
I also toy with the idea of having a limit to the amount an item can cost and a limit to the number of items you can sell. What do you guys thinks? :)
It is an interesting idea, however, I adapted it a little, if we make character shops, then they need to be in character, the making and purchasing of these items would need to be played out.
And as for the price of opening a shop, why not make them buy the items they need to open the shop instead. For example, a blacksmith would need a forge, an anvil, and a hammer; a carpenter would need a saw, an hammer, and nails; and a tailor would need a needle, a scissors, and a measuring tape(or some such thing).
The price to replenish his sold out items could be considered the price to buy raw materials, (I.e. Iron for the Smith, Wood for the Carpenter, and Cloth for the tailor.)
These "tools of the trade items could be stocked items in the imythess stores much like the demon sword, and the dark steed. That way, the number of stores could be controlled.
This a totally cool idea. But you would need to make the item not too powerful, like you couldn't have a spell that makes you invincible for the rest of your life. Also, you should make a limit to the amount of items allowed in a shop, unless you pay more to make more 'room' for the items. And you should have certain shops have some stuff that none of the others have of the same category.
