Title: Into the Shadows
Drizza - October 9, 2005 12:51 AM (GMT)
She stood in the shadows. The darkness, it hide her presence and gave her a sense of comfort. Drizza was born in the dark, raised in the dark and lived in the light. The shadows reminded her of what she truly is, a drow. Movement in the bushes caused her hands to move to the hilts of her swords. Someone was here. The head of a young man protruded from the bush. He looked around cautiously before running again carrying a large sack. The darkness hid her well, but the strange behavior of the human boy piqued her interest. The drow followed the boy hiding in the shadows of trees and avoiding the moonlight.
The poor senses of those inept humans can never detect me Drizza thought. She had not been in these lands for quite a while, and during that time she changed. The young drow was no longer naive, hopeful that perhaps the other races would be more accepting. Even the humans, without any special abilities laughed, mocked, and ostracized her. Drizza had grown up, she was older, and learned that the world is a cruel place to be. Before long, the young drow could hear the bustling and laughter of men.
Vestein - October 9, 2005 03:14 PM (GMT)
A lage dear sprinted out of a bush only to be jumped on by a human shaped yet beastil form wereing human cloths and a sword on its back. He pinned it down and placed its strugeling head in its jaws the cracked it with ease. the noise sent the human boy stumbeling of into the darknes. just as the humanoide was about to make a meal of his kill he stoped, its ears pricked up qivering. It turned quicly sniffing the air then it stoped and changed slowly and sickeningly back into a reconisably human form.
"theirs no need to hide i know your their."he snifed the air "drow yes you are arnt you" he looked directly into Drizza's hiding place and into her eyes with the eyes of a wolf. "my name is Vestien" he said as be began to walk slowly towards Drizza "i wont hurt you... you'll probably hurt me but thats my problem" he laughed whille he spoke. he stoped about 15 paces from drizza, he was keeping his distance out of respect. "your welcom to dear if you want it" he wiped his mouth on his wolf skin cloke "i never becoming that but i need food no mater how disgusted i am of myself"
Drizza - October 9, 2005 07:35 PM (GMT)
The voice of the man surprised her. Drizza turned her head to come face to face with him. He looked like a human, yet there was something about him. Perhaps it was his wolf-like eyes or the way he talked, but there something beastly about him. Her hand subconciously travelled to the hilts of her scimitars. Drizza was not a very trusting person, especially to strangers she meets near a bandit camp at night.
"My name is Vestien" he said as be began to walk slowly towards Drizza. "I wont hurt you... you'll probably hurt me but thats my problem" he laughed while he spoke. Drizza frowned, wondering why the human would assume that she would hurt him. She hoped that by simply standing there, she did not convey all of her intentions. Her impression of the man seemed to be that he was a cocky know-it-all or at least a lot of human males were. This was another thing about humans that bothered her. Even with their lack of special abilities, they seemed to think they were superior to others, including people of their own races. It was curious to see how some settlements of people were very much like how the drow lived in the underdark. The only difference was that the human society is the dominant gender seemed to be male, unlike the drow.
"I am not as quick in devulging my name to others," responded Drizza cooly. The young drow found it interesting that male seemed to already assume she would fear him. Perhaps it was simply human behaviour to assume things they feared would be afraid of them.
Bane - October 9, 2005 08:30 PM (GMT)
Bane had been journeying through the forest when he heard voices and that meant people. He moved through the forest silently, using his skill at it to move even quieter then most people could. Not even an Elf could surpass his grace and silence as he moved. Bane came to the young boy and gave a bow, "It is always to be pleasant when your about to make a kill. You can go now and leave your food or stand here and die... your choice."
The young boy stood for a second, apparently already spooked and dropped the food and in sheer terror. Ah a shame I was hoping to test some of my magic on him. Bane moved to grab the steak when he heard move voices. He moved quietly to a bush and stopped several centimeters from the bush so he would nto make a rustle. Looking over he saw someone he reconized, though from where he could not tell and a elf... a Drow for that matter, Maybe it is time to get some... tools.
He became visible and stood there as if he was summoned from the night itself and his appearance seemed even scarier then normal. He moved past the bush he had been concealed in and came to stand between the Drow and Man Beast. It hit him where the beast was from he remembered him from the bar though Bane did not remember the conversation well he knew he had not been kind to the man beast, and that was all he remembered, "May I ask your buisness in this forest at this time of the night?" His voice was like cold venom, it never changed unless willed by Bane. Bane hoped to convince them to join him and maybe do a few "errands for him."
Veronna Darkblade - October 10, 2005 12:41 AM (GMT)
Veronna walked through the forest, not trying to be quiet at all, but she was aware of her soroundings. She knew she was getting close to the bandit camp, she had been there before, but the last time she was not herself, or more like it, she was herself; that was when she fell into her drow side and would kill anyone who came to close. She had come to the forest and killed many bandits, though no one really cared.
Veronna was not wearing her chainmail tonight, for one it made to much noise, and it slowed her down a little bit. She did however have her two scimitars and her longsword and her daggers, so she was armed well enough.
When she got closer to the camp she heard voices, and then she heard other voices to the left side of her. She started walking towards the voices that were away from the camp. As she drew closer she stopped and climbed up a tree to get a better view of what was going on.
She climbed from branch to branch until she was right above them all. There was three of them; one was a man yet beast like, the other was a normal man from what she could tell, and the last was a drow like her, but younger.
She watched from above listening to the conversation, well it wasn't really a conversation, it was more of threats. She was ready to attack if she had to, though she wished she wouldn't, but if it came to that she would fight with her own kind then against the drow.
Vestein - October 10, 2005 03:32 PM (GMT)
"I am not as quick in devulging my name to others," as the drow spoke Vestien took several steps back. He could smell the hostility it wasnt much mostly masked by the confidence she was producing. "fare enough"
As Bane appered Vestien was not shocked. He could hear and smell the elf from a long way away. "I wondered when you would turn up. looks like we have a small party here dosnt it us three and the other drow watching us for in the tree." He smilled. "im just passing through if you were asking me. Hey wait i rember the voice. you were the one in the city... a darker time in my life." He was now shocked at the newcomer his past was catching up with him. "can i offer any one a steak? give us a chance to introduce each other ?"Vestien said gesturing to the fresh kill.
Drizza - October 10, 2005 04:07 PM (GMT)
There was another. Drizza could sense her presence almost immediately, there was another drow. She quickly glanced up at the treetops, hoping to catch sight of the newcomer. A figure loomed in the trees and Drizza assumed it must've been her. Not wanting to seem distracted, the young drow focused her attention back to the two men.
"Can I offer anyone a steak? Give us a chance to introduce each other ?" asked Vestian. She was a bit confused as to why the man would want to have a feast near a bandit camp. Perhaps he wanted to flaut his fighting skills in front of others, as most human males would. Drizza shook her head, she was simply making too many assumptions. She would let time determine what Vestein's intentions are.
" I do not think it is wise to have a feast near a bandit camp," Drizza said wryly. But suddenly, movement in the bushes caught her eye. She didn't know what it was, but something ran off quickly, as if they were running for dear life. It was obvious that whatever was running was not a deer, or a hungry predator for food. She strained her eyes to see further into the darkness, but whatever it was, it was gone. Something about all this did not feel right, and the drow suddenly felt uneasy.
"I think we are discovered," she said in a low voice.
Vestein - October 10, 2005 08:33 PM (GMT)
Vestien listend intently he could hear rustling on the edge of human hearing but with in his own. " i would have to agree with you i think we may have to move and continue introductions els ware. I dont not wish to get into a fight with anyone over a dear" He bent down and picked up the dear with one hand and slung it over his back. "You are welcome to join me but that of cource is your desition he moved onto the edge of the small clearing waiting for the reply.
Veronna Darkblade - October 10, 2005 09:35 PM (GMT)
Veronna flashed an evil looking grin at Vestien, and climbed down. If she did not want to be found she could have made her scent invisible. She couldn't believe that Vestien wanted to have a nice little picnic right her, near the camp; which didn't bug Veronna at all, she was much more skilled at the blade then petty thieves.
Veronna saw as the figure ran out from the bushes and frowned. She focused her eyes to look through the darkness and saw just fine, and watched as a small figure ran towards the camp.
When Vestien said they should go she glared at him. "You should not run from a fight. You are weak if you do, and will not be honorable to do so infront of your goddess." Veronna wasn't sure if they already knew she was the goddess of blades or not.
If Vestien ran she would stay anyway. Veronna drew her scimitars and looked at Drizza, "Will you fight with me?" She wasn't sure if Drizza would want to fight, Veronna wasn't sure if she was that good at sword fighting or not, but by judging the way the younger drow held herself she could tell she used Draa Velve as her fighting style, which was what Veronna started on, but then started using other methods of swordplay.
She heard noises; weapons being unsheathed and the crunching of the leaves as they walked towards Veronna and the other three.
Bane - October 10, 2005 11:37 PM (GMT)
Bane looked strangely at Vestein and for the first time in long months was confused then came to the realization that the man must have changed, How sad he thought with pity. He turned his head towards the sounds of unsheathing metal and talking of Bandits and he turned completely towards them, his eye illuminating a small part of the area to reveal several bandits.
Then the bomb dropped, Veronna revealed herself to be a goddess, the goddess of the blades no wonder Bane did not recognize her as he had never touched steal in his life. Bane hated the gods, he planned to wage war on them one day for doing what they had done to him, altered his appearance and turned him into the monster he is today.
But he would not reveal himself yet, he was not strong enough to attack the goddess even with the assistance of the other two that is if he could've convinced them even with the bandits ready to attack, "Yes the goddess is right never run from a fight." Bane raised his wand and not even speaking the spell aloud to give the Bandits a chance a blue beam of energy shot from his wand and hit dead on with a Bandit and illuminated the area more then his eye ever could, "Shall we show them why you are a goddess?" He said to Veronna.
Drizza - October 11, 2005 01:08 AM (GMT)
"Will you fight with me?" the goddess asked. Of course, Drizza knew who she was. Vestien seemed to have not noticed her divineness, he seemed just typical. Though Drizza promised herself that she would try not to make assumptions, human males were all the same, arrogant and unruly.
"Of course," she replied with a small smile and bow. From a young child, she was forced into Lloth's beliefs, that there had to be sacarfices for justice. Her childhood friend was killed because of this, and Drizza knew that her father was murdered for her former house to be in favour of the wicked goddess. She did not like beings who seemed to think, act or be called like something more than a mortal. Though Veronna was not like this, Drizza had a problem with beliefs. Perhaps it was the unrealistic ideals of Lloth, or maybe just her own personal disdain for religion, Drizza vowed never to follow any ideals other than her own.
"Who are we to kill? The bandits?" she asked, as she unsheathed her swords. The swords weren't anything fancy that had intricate cravings, they were simply weapons. Drizza did not understand warriors who spent money and time having their swords beautifully finished. No matter how beautiful, a sword is simply a sword, and it was only as good as it's wielder.
Vestein - October 11, 2005 04:22 PM (GMT)
Vestien weighed up the abillitys of simple rage with swordplay to half wolf and full wolf... their was running away but it would not be somthing of honour to do.
"If i must fight i must fight" Vestien altered into his half wolf form it would surfice for a short period of combat but anymore and he would pay for the coniquences for the rest of his life. He snarled at a bandit atemting to sneak up on him, turning in a quick movment and clasping a clawed hand around the neck of the unfortunate bandit. With a a sickening sound the mans wind pipe colapsed. Vestien droped the man and pounced on another ready to strike bearing him to the ground he lashed at his torso and face with razor sharp claws and teeth riping him to sreds.
unbenonesed to him during the frenzeid atack a single man and creepd up behind and was preparing to deal a blow to the unwary beast.
Bane - October 11, 2005 08:20 PM (GMT)
Bane fired another magic missile at one of the bandits and then used the inflict minor wounds on another who was coming close to Bane and as the man doubled over in pain in his stomach brought his knee up and snapped the man's head back. Bringing his other foot around in a roundhouse kick he took care of that bandit.
He turned, he was in full power he hadn't tasted such battle power in a long time and it made him stronger then he normally was. As he turned however he saw another bandit coming over Vestein. Bane wondered if he should intervene or not and let the old man wolf die but decided to take care of the bandit only because he needed Vestein. Casting the inflict wound on the bandit he yelled, "Vestein, watch your back!" He remembered the man's name to his surprise he didn't remember things unless he wanted to and few things stayed with him.
A sudden anger consumed him as the memories of his past flooded him. Bringing his wand up he began to cast more and more missile and wound attack not bothering to use his more powerful magic [Just saying that I know he doesn't have anymore :P ]. In his rage however a bandit was sneaking up behind him and Bane whirled around too late and saw a dwarf's hammer smash into Bane's chest sending him flying in the air. Dammit He thought mentally in pain as he hit the ground hard, the dwarf however didn't relinquish his attack and pressed after Bane. Grasping for his wand which wasn't there he began frantically searching for it and when the dwarf was within range he turned to the dwarf and removed the veil protecting his face.
The dwarf shrank back in terror, few had seen that face and lived and he was about to be added to the list. Bane finally found his wand and aimed for the dwarf casting minor wounds all over his body. The arms, chest, stomach all received the attack and then finished him with a magic missile. He was growing tired and turned to see how well the others were doing.
Veronna Darkblade - October 12, 2005 12:48 AM (GMT)
Veronna smiled at Drizza when she accepted to fight with her; she enjoyed fighting with others who used two weapons. She looked towards the sounds around the camp and an evil smile crept up to her face; she normally didn't kill a whole lot because there was no reason to, but now that she thought about it, there wasn't much reason to kill these bandits, but if they came looking for a fight she would be forced to attack.
Veronna looked over at Bane and knew his evil intentions for the gods, and that anger her a great deal. She would show this man that she was not one to lie to, those who do normally die.
Veronna wasn't into the whole 'I am your god' thing, she didn't look at herself much more different then a mortal, for that was what she was until she became a goddess. She would only show that she is stronger if someone challenged her, and she normally didn't brag about it. She would not force anyones hand into following her, only those who want to follow her forever, she would accept.
As the bandits drew closer she readied herself, she loved swordplay. She ran forward at a bandit and raised her right scimitar and cut down at the man who held a flail. The man swung his weapon at her but she moved faster and used her left scimitar to cut up at the man. He yelled and fell down to the ground, not dead but injured badly.
She kept going at anyone who came towards her, and she slowly found herself near Bane. She looked at him and could tell he was getting tired, and for all Veronna cared he could die. She hated people who had hidden agendas, and she knew he had something evil planned.
She looked closely at his face and wondered what the heck was wrong with him. She shrugged and kept going. She wasn't using any of her deity abilities right now, for they were not necesary. She had confadence that Drizza was holding her own, for she was a drow like Veronna.
Drizza - October 12, 2005 02:48 AM (GMT)
Drizza blocked the bandit's sword with her left scimitar and gave him the fatal blow with her right one. She liked disposing her enemies quickly and quietly, for she did not like torturing people. The young drow grew up watching people she cared about be tortured to death, and she knew that nothing, no matter what they had done would deserve such treatment. Another bandit lunged at her, but Drizza wasn't paying attention. The large man managed to hit her arm with his club, and pain spasmed up to her shoulder. She tried her best not to show her pain as she cut his hands off and plunged her scimitar into his throat.
"They are relentless, we will have to bring down the whole camp," Drizza said, "but I won't give up." She didn't want the others to think she was giving up already. The young drow merely wanted to state the fact that this was not a simple ambush with a squad of bandits, it seemed the camp was after them. Quickly grabbing her bow and arrow, Drizza ran towards the nearest tree. She used one foot to push off the ground, and one foot to push against the trunk to propel herself upwards. Once she was up on a branch, the young drow let out a spray of arrows. She shot 3 at a time, hoping to thin the crowd of bandits. One of the most important things she learned was to never let the enemy crowd her.
A bandit attempted to climb up the tree and grabbed her ankle. Drizza fell to the ground, somewhat dazed. The man jumped on her as she wrestled him to the ground. Once he was pinned, the young drow unsheathed a scimitar and cut his throat. A spray of red fluid shot out everywhere as the man gurgled, choking on his own blood. Drizza wiped her hands on the grass, and got up.
Vestein - October 12, 2005 09:33 AM (GMT)
vestien snaled a reply to the warning bane had given He tuned from the mangled body and swung a balled fist at the man bent double sending him flying into a tree.
Vestien cast about his mind was becoming cloudy he was finding it dificutl to distingus between friends and foe he relised the danger any more time and he would atack one of the others. he changed back to his human form. disoriatated for only a second he drew a two handed sword and sliced at an atacker cuting through the wooden shaft of the axe and on the return swing he grunted "your wepon is your life fool pay it more heed!" the man fell in a crupled heep with a huge gash in his face.
Bane - October 12, 2005 05:53 PM (GMT)
Bane sent a man flying with another assault of his magic blast and suddenly a memory came to him, why he remembered Vestein's name. The werewolf had left him in the tavern all that time ago and had left him to deal with some other wizard by himself and Bane had promised himself revenge which he would gladly fill now even in the presence of the goddess and the other Drow he would not allow a grudge to go unheard. Using the same basic combo he had been using since the beginning of his studies and it had worked numerous times he cast the inflict wound spell at Vestein towards his stomach area and then sent a magic missile attack right at him.
Knowing he would have to get out of there quick once the others realize he had attacked one of the "companions" he quickly turned towards the goddess of blades and smiled, I think I should let her remember why wizards should be respect upon steel wielders. Bane knew his magic at this point was weakening but he was used his last magical energy and use it against the goddess of blades. True it probably wouldn't do much more then send her tumbling but he had to show the gods he wasn't afraid not afraid to show them that his quest was still underway and they would all die at his hands one day soon.
Bringing his hands and wand up he used his last amount of magical energy combining it to send it towards Veronna, with the Drow goddess occupied by the bandits he should at least get some measure of surprise but if he didn't it didn't matter all that mattered was he show the gods some measure of defiance. He cast the spell within his mind using his skill of silent spells casting and sent the blue magical energy straight for the goddess.
Knowing his time here was up and it could mean his death if he did not flee he ran for the first time in his life he ran away. Not of fear but so he could live another day to kill the gods where they stood, he would have his revenge he promised and he had just shown the gods he was not afraid.
Vestein - October 12, 2005 07:50 PM (GMT)
Vestien roared into the night "LET THIS BEKNOWN BANE YOU HAVE ANGERED A GODDESS AND YOU HAVE ANGERED ME! YOU WILL FEAR EVERY HOWL AND EVERY FULL MOON AND I WILL FIND YOU!" The atack had sent Vestien into a rage but it would do no good his cheast was smoking after the attack. but he had to fight on he was not of odinary flesh and blood it would take more than that to take out Vestien.
Vestien arose from the floor swiping his blade at a bandit trying to take advantage of his wounds. He muttered somthing under his breath and the wound began to heal through a combination of magic and the healing propertys of a warewolf. "wizads never trust the evil ones." he grunted as he impailed another bandit.
Xei - October 12, 2005 08:21 PM (GMT)
Saban was haveing a nice time walking in the darkness, he might of been lost but he just said "if ur lost keep walking." and so he killed a cat at that same moment as his huge foot slammed down appon his head the sickening crunsh put his smile into a frown and the cat was stuck to his shoe. An hour later he was singing, which went a bit like this"
"I was wondering in the vally,
I was wondering the land,
I look for fights,
I look for wives,
And then i have a shoe.
but what u dont kno...."
He had trailed off as he heard a shout, he was not bothered but it did sound like afight, and the worst thing he could do is miss out on that so he kept walking at a quicker pace but still singing in the darkness. he sudenly found himself among a few people all looking out of place .. his face turned to a confused expresion as he wondered what the hell was going on.
Drizza - October 13, 2005 01:36 AM (GMT)
Drizza was surprised at the altercation between Vestien and the wizard. As another bandit lunged at her, she quickly moved away. The young man stumbled forward for a few steps as the drow quickly decapitated him. Although she enjoyed killing and ending lives, the young drow was surprised killing the bandits were not as challenging as she thought. It was getting kind of...boring in a sense. After all, they were supposed to be the masters of disguising their presence and their melee skills should be the weakest. According to some of the young thieves, these values seemed to be lost, and their mistakes will probably cost the whole camp their lives.
When the wizard casted a spell at Veronna, Drizza was also bewildered at his actions. It was not smart to attack such a powerful being, and it was almost idiotic to attack them without the element of surprised. Coward, the young drow thought as the wizard took off. She despised cowards. Those who had the courage to initiate a fight, but not the courage to finish one. Perhaps cowards deserve a tortured death...The loud screams of Vestien vowing revenge for himself and the goddess almost caused Drizza to jump. It seemed as if the wizard keeps on spreading hate in his wake. A smile crept up on her face as she realize that this man could not run forever avoiding his enemies. Though she personally did not have a confrontation with him, the drow was assured that their next encouncter will not be as friendly as this one.
She slashed her way through several more bandits as if they were children. Their attacks were weak and unplanned. It was as if they were unsure if they really wanted to kill this intruder, they were fighting with their hearts. As every good drow warrior knows, there was no mercy and they had to be ruthless. Drizza was mericful compared to most, opting to end her opponent's life as quickly as possible. But even she had her limitations. The young drow easily parried another attack from an older man this time, and quickly impaled her scimitar into his torso. Taking his life was like taking candy from a baby. Perhaps there was a plan to all of this, maybe their leaders intentionally sent out all the weakest warriors as a distraction. The young drow could not help but think that everything that had just occured had a plan behind it.
Vestein - October 13, 2005 03:16 PM (GMT)
Vestien saw the newcomer and dived at him bearing him to the ground to protect him againsed the slash of an unwise bandit. The bandit in question stumbled forward as she had expected to contact with the mans unprotected back. Vestien lashed out with a foot tripping her. He roled of the newcomer and punched the woman in the face breaking her jaw and knocking her out he grabed the simitar and slashed at an on comming man all the while thinking of how Bane would pay.
Despite being A huge man Vestien was using his agility to dodge the on coming atacks of the bandits slashing and stabing with the simitar. He was becoming confident untill one more experiaced bandit landed an atack on his arm. The steel bit into vesteins bracer but protected his arm from the wepons sharp edge but pain still ran through his arm the force had jard it badly. Vestien lashed out in rage with his free arm and sent the man flying. Vestein had changed into a full wolf befor he had hit the ground, Vestien pounced and became a mass of fur and flesh as he riped into the man
Veronna Darkblade - October 14, 2005 12:28 AM (GMT)
Veronna saw the missile berfore it was shot. Though she was busy with fighting a bandit she put up a sheild around her. The missile bounced off harmlessly and went upwards. Veronna cut down her opponent and looked where Bane had been; he would pay dearly for this, she thought to herself. If Bane was not careful he would wind up with his throat cut as he slept.
Veronna was very angry now and it was feeding into her ability to fight. Fighting the bandits was really easy, they were not trained in melee combat like this, so that was why Veronna was not killing all the ones she came up against; she would injur her opponent by cutting his legs or arms and leave them there to be found by the others in there camp.
Veronna looked over at Drizza and saw her killing bandits left and right. She was quite pleased by the why Drizza fought, but not pleased to see her killing all she fought. Veronna would take lives if it could be prevented, which right now it could be prevented.
She was dancing through the bandits, killing or injuring any who got in her way. She preferred going one on one normally, but this wasn't so bad. She wasn't getting tired yet she normally didn't get tired until awhile, but this did seem like it took more energy then a one on one person spar.
(Sorry it's not all that long...)
Vestein - October 14, 2005 04:25 PM (GMT)
Vestein changed back into human form spiting out blood he whirled arouned dissoriantated he hated this bit the most of being a warewolf the taste of another mans blood lingers for a while. he looked around for his long sword but could not see it but what he did see was a barbarian long sword {{pcc i have paid for it this is the role play to back me up finding it}} feling the heavy blade in his hands he struck a foe with is and cleaved his whole arm off. He weilded it as if it were an axe and it worked well. He cut down another bandit "when will the realise they cannot win?" He cut through anothers arm while he shouted above tha battle. "we have killed many of their number." and it was true many bodies littered the clearing most still groning from the goddeses clean cuts and some with missing limbs and gashes from drizza and vestein. When will this slaughter end the thaught.
Xei - October 14, 2005 08:46 PM (GMT)
Saban stood but after being tacled he feeled like a fool, who are they to save the ones that they dont know? he looked around most of the bandits so he thought, looked as if they where dead or running but some still fought... being cut down by 2 drow ...drow now thats a funny thing.. he had been disgraced by drow before... and they had cut his long stubbon hair off as a sign.
pausing between thoughts to defend himself of the pityful attacks he had gained 4 cuts and 2 more marks on his bare chest..Im not even trying to do anything, but thinkThe man who had tackled him to the ground was now cleaving his way thought the 'bandits' as they called themselves.
Drwing his staff from his back he went off to get some of the cowards that have allready escaped.
"This should be fun"he mutterded to himself as he ran to catch up with the retreating forces.
Vestein - October 17, 2005 04:10 PM (GMT)
Vestein finished off a bandit and shouted after him "you could have said thank you!" the rest of the bandits were either dead or runing for their lives "well what do we do now? On to the camp?"
Drizza - October 18, 2005 11:25 PM (GMT)
Drizza casted a glance at the others. They were all fighting the bandits, maybe they won't notice her missing. The drow wanted to sneak into camp, perhaps possible figure out why they seemed to have unleashed hell in the forest. Hoping that she blended in with the fighting surrounding them, Drizza began to make her way towards the camp. Several bandits lunged at her, catching the drow off guard. She fell, but managed to break free of the bandits' hold on her. She made quick work of them, cutting their throats as quickly as possible. This was going to take longer than she thought.
Running towards the shadows of the trees, Drizza hoped it might disguise her presence as she closed in on the camp. Everything was crudely built, and there seemed to be no activity within the camp. Perhaps they had sent every avaliable person out into the forest. After all, Drizza had to admit her 'allies' were formidable opponents. Her steps werre quiet and quick, as the drow jump the wooden fence surrounding a camp. Fools, who builds such a weak thing to protect themselves? she thought as she hid behind a tent these thieves must not be very smart...or perhaps they are too smart. The young drow did not know if these so called thieves were incredibly intelligent or incredibly stupid.
Vestein - October 19, 2005 08:02 PM (GMT)
Following drizza into the camp Vestein was confronted by a surly looking man who was almost as big as himself. Not impressed Vestein drew a crossbow and shot him cleanly in the neck with the minimum of fuss. Not stopping Vestein loaded another bolt and took cover behind a badly built shack while he winched the string back with a small grunt. Standing up he set off for the main building which in comparison to the other "houses" looked surprisingly well built.
He set of into a run firing off his crossbow as he went. A sharp cry of pain was heard from one of the houses. Slinging it back to its original resting place, he with drew his barbarian long sword and charged for the door of the main building. Hitting it with his shoulder he was bounced back, Vestein took steps back and prepared to charge again. He couldn’t keep this up he was still in pain from the Banes cowardly attack.
