Vanor - September 25, 2005 02:24 PM (GMT)
Vanor had gotten up early this morning especially to walk along the beach just after dawn. It was quite chilly outside and the light seemed to be still quite dim even though the Sun could be seen peeking through the grey clouds. Slowly strolling along the beach Vanor gazed out on to the ocean. It was clear blue, and looked a marvel to look at. It made Vanor think as to what lay on the other side of the ocean, and what types of peoples there may be there. Vanor, though was not a 'sea person', as he had never liked being on boats for more than a few hours. However, this didn't deter him from admiring the ocean.

Turning to walk on further down the beach, Vanor thought about what he'd do today. He hadn't anything planned, though he did consider having a wander around the city - this being at the bottom of his list though. The Sun began to make itself more known now, and there was a lot more sunlight now shining on the beach. Sitting down, Vanor sat staring out into the horizon...

Meera's eyes stayed trained on the horizon as she watched the sun slowly begin its slow ascent into the sky. This was possibly her favorite time of day. After many mornings of waking up early just to relax and watch the sun rise, her body had gotten used to this ritual and now it was part of her normal daily routine. As usual, she lay on the beach, her head resting again her griffon, Kalani's back. Meera had her pure white wings encircling her body somewhat like a blanket as she sat with her knees pulled up tight against her chest. A soft morning breeze blew some of her brown hair into her face, but this time, she let it go. For what did it matter, it wasn't bothering her too much and who was she to dress up nice for? To one who was simply looking out on the beach, they would describe her as a woman surround by a vast array of animals. It was true, she did have many animal companions, only one was not on the beach with her and for good reason. That was her eagle Marqee. The other animals around her were a fox, squirrel, hatchling psuedragon, fae horse, fire horse, and if one looked very closely, they might have been able to see an eagle sitting in a tree not too far away from the shore.

In the soft morning quiet, Meera could faintly hear the soft crunch of another coming her way. She looked over and saw not too far, a man. The crunches stopped as the man stooped down into a sitting position. Meera smiled, she always believed it nice to have company on fine occaisions, such as this. Sighing, she stood up and unwrapped her wings from around her. She shrugged on her glorious cloak and paused for a moment to think of the person who gave it to her. The memories were nice and it lightened her mood a bit. She walked over to the man and sat down beside him while saying sofly, "hello there. What a nice morning it is today. I'm Meera." and gave him a warm smile.

Vanor nearly became lost in thought as he looked out onto the horizon. He always thought how much the sky looked like a painting; especially at this time of the day. Quietly looking onwards, he heard the voice of a woman. This brought him straight back to his senses quickly, and slowly he turned his head to his side, where he saw the woman who had just greeted him. He looked at her for a few seconds before speaking. Smiling warmly, he said to her, "Oh, hello. Nice morning, wouldn't you say?" He glanced around to look at the ocean again, and spoke once more. "I'm Vanor by the way." Turning around to look at her, he glanced over her shoulder and noticed quite a few animals. "Nice to meet you, then."

This was definitely not expected by Vanor. He had never seen anyone on the beach at this time before, but it was a pleasant surprize never-the-less.

Meera couldn't help but be relieved that he was friendly and willing to talk. No matter what, she sometimes came across people in bad moods, or people that just were not very friendly to begin with. She replied happily, "I like that name....Vanor" and smiled to herself. She couldn't help but laugh softly. "Nice to meet you too." she added. When she saw him look towards all of her companions that were waiting for her back down where she had been a few seconds ago, she said "oh, don't mind them. They're just companions of mine." and gestured with both her wing and arm towards them. Kalani straightened up into a sitting position, expecting to be called over if Meera needed her. Meera shook her head and scowled towards Kalani, she was always so protective over Meera. Motioning downwards, Meera tried to encourage her to go back into a laying position, but Kalani wasn't budging. Finally giving up, Meera turned back to the man. "Just here to see the magnificent sunrise I presume?" She asked as more of a clarification than actual question. Absentmindedly, her hand grabbed up a handful of the soft sand and she slowly let it filter through her fingers. When it was all gone, she grabbed another handful and repeated it.

Vanor smiled slightly. He was curious about things, even as small as they maybe. "Thank you, but what makes you like my name, if you don't mind me asking?" He looked back at the animals, once Meera pointed towards them. "I've never seen anyone with as much animals as you." He smirked jokingly, and tried to not seem offensive. He looked out towards the sky again, his blue eyes reflecting the Sun's dim light making them resemble the clear, blue ocean. He began to whistle quietly, and suddenly broke off to turn his face towards Meera. "I come here nearly every morning I can. It's a chance to clear my head for the day ahead...and, well, gives me a more pleasant feeling." He shifted around the sand slightly, and lay back on one of his elbows. "What about you then?"
