There was a sudden disturbance in the crystaline waters of the lake as Meera dove straight into the water. Peaceful ripples cascaded over the small waves that were created by the obstruction of the liquid. Once within the water, Meera pulled up out of her dive and pulled her way towards the surface. Her hair cascaded around her freely in the water, not tied back by anything. Upon breaking the clear horizon of water and air, she threw her head back, flinging her hair back into each's individual space. A smile lit up her bronze skin as she tread water and gazed back towards the shore. Awaiting her there were her many animal companions. Some would only watch her from shore, but others would join her form of enjoyment. Akira let out a little fox yip and took a running start before leaping into the water and swimming towards Meera. Meera couldn't help but laugh. The only other companion that would join her today was her young psuedragon, Salmo. He tentatively hovered over the water for a second before dropping down into it. He swam towards her as well, with his wings held high up out of the water. Meera lifted a wet hand out of the water to stroke Akira's head fondly before swimming back towards shore. As soon as she climbed out of the water, she began to run back around towards the small waterfall upon which she had jumped off of the first time.
Before taking a running start, she decided to try something new. Taking a deep breath, she sped up quickly and jumped off of the tiny waterfall. In midair, she tucked her body into a tight ball and flipped around in a circle before entering the water. It only took Akira and Salmo a few seconds to realize that they were about to get soaked. When Meera resurfaced from her flip, her face was once again aglow with happiness. That was the first time that she had tried something like that. It felt great! Almost breathless with excitement her laughter chimed out into the busy forest hum of many animals working about their day. The cool water felt good on her bare feet as she tread once again. She took her hand out of the water and pushed a stray peice of brown hair away from her face before leaning backwards and floating on her back. Salmo, seeing his oppurtunity, made his way over with a combination of flapping his leathery wings and swimming. Upon reaching her, he climbed onto her stomach and curled up peacefully. Meera smiled and kicked lazily to keep herself afloat. It was then that she heard another sound. This one seemed quite distinct. Almost like she had heard it before, yet she couldn't put her finger on what it was. Curiously, she kept her eye on the general direction that it came from, waiting to see if whatever made it would come out.
