Title: Seeking Help
Description: From a trusted freind
Nariwa Kona - September 13, 2005 03:37 PM (GMT)
This was Konahomarus first visit to the Temple of Swords. It was modest in camparison to the Temple of Light, but it still had its own glory's to behold. Kona wasnt here to sight see however. He came to get help from possibly his only real freind on Imythess.
Kona wasnt sure where to go, so he just stood at the entrance. He knelt, and prayed.
"Veronna. Its me, Konahomaru the Son of Light. I need some help from a trusted freind. That is whay I have come to you. I feel a great evil on Imythess, and I have a feeling it has to do with me. I feel it in myself as well, as if something just as pure as I am is just as evil, if not more. I fear it may bring an end to peace on Imythess, or at least aid in the efforts of Ranewen. Even now the evil is growing stronger with every moment, within me. I need your help Veronna to find this evil, and cleanse it. Sargoth has abandoned Imythess as far as I can know. For the past days I have been praying to him, visiting his temple and I have nothing. Please, you know ive always respected you greater than any other god. Do not let me down like my leader did."
Kona stood and waited, waited patiently for his freind to come. He almost felt sad, an emotion that has come to him only once in his life. In conncection with his mother, who may not even be alive anymore.
Veronna Darkblade - September 14, 2005 05:29 PM (GMT)
Veronna was up in her chambers pacing back and forth, wondering how to tell Ocar what she had found out just that morning. They had not planned on it happening for awhile, but she couldn't change it now.
She sat down on the bed, but right then she felt a presence around her temple and heard someone talking. She was still getting use to hearing people talk around her temple. She didn't now who it was but she stood and started walking down. She was a little irratated, for she wanted to talk to Ocar at the moment and not some person. As she got closer to the entrance she could tell who it was, but she still was a bit annoyed.
She had heard what he had said and wondered what he ment about an evil, she knew about Ranewen, kind of. She had wondered where Sargoth was for she had not seen him for ever. She wasn't sure how she could help with darkness inside of him, but then she remembered she had gone through something similar, everyone has an evil side for some they give into it others fight until they die of old age, some learn to kill it and go for the good side, but like her some people learn to live with it and use it to their advantage. At one point she had nealy given into her drow side but Ocar and Ace were there to help with it. Though she still had her angry moments.
She appeared in the door way in front of Kona and looked at him, "I'm not sure I can help with your darkness Kona, sometimes you must do it yourself, but I will help if I can. I am sorry that Sargoth has left you alone, but I will be here for you when you need help like now." She smiled at him, "Please come in, I prefer to talk where no one can listen." She began walking in. "I am surprised you came to me, many I believe, do not think I'm worthy to be a goddess, but I don't really care about them, I'm glad you came to see me."
She led them to the arena, just because she liked it there more then anywhere else in the temple. She gestured for him to sit and sat herself, she didn't plan on sparing today, which was apparent for she was wearing a dress instead of a tunic, though she didn't have problems fighting in a dress she prefered not to.
"Can you tell me more about this darkness?" she asked, for to defeat it she needed to know what it was, where and how it came to be.
Nariwa Kona - September 14, 2005 06:32 PM (GMT)
Kona smiled when Veronna came to the doors. He obliged and followed her inside, and sat down in front of her. He took off his katana and laid it next to him. It was hard to sit with a 5 ft. blade poking in the ground.
"Im glad you have agreed to help me." Konahomaru said. "I suppose you know a little about my past, bieng the youngest Half-Celestial on Imythess and in the Celestial plane of things. But there are a few more things. I wasnt always normal Veronna..." he trailed off, and took a breath. He was always ashamed of the next part of his past.
"This is were most people stop knowing about me. When i was fightning in a older war, I was sent to assassinate a demon mage. I almost suceeded, but ultimately failed. He stripped me of my power, and my humanity. Then he sent me here." He stopped and waited for it to sink in.
"When you are ready, I shall continue. It is a long story indeed."
Veronna Darkblade - September 17, 2005 02:19 AM (GMT)
Veronna sat listening to what he had to say. She found it hard to sit still because she wished to talk with Ocar but would listen to Kona and help him if she could. She smiled at him when he warned her that most people would stop learning about him at this point. "Please, I would like to know more." She gestured her hand at him to continue.
She didn't mind sad or depressing stories, or any other kind of stories for that matter.
Veronna's own life was not pretty, she preferred not to talk about unless to Ocar or close friends. She use to get nightmares about her life but those soon ended when she met Ocar.
She started playing with her hands that were in her lap. She knew she had to listen to Kona, he needed help, but it was hard to listen when she had something to tell Ocar that was so important. She never thought this would happen to her, well thats not true, she didn't expect it so soon.
There was a something coming, something dark and evil, and she knew Ranewen was the one who will lead the dark forces and Veronna wasn't sure who was going to lead the light forces. Those who didn't know where they stood could find shelter and solitude under Veronna's wing. But now Veronna had something else to worry about, something that ment she wouldn't be able to go into battle, without worry for what she now bore within her.
Nariwa Kona - September 17, 2005 03:30 AM (GMT)
Kona noticed that Veronna was distracted, and when he saw her face it was like an open book. She was urging to tell sombodey something, she needed to get something off of her chest. It made him feel somewhat selfish to continue on talking with this knowledge of her feelings, but Konahomaru pressed on. This was important, Imythess-fate important. At least to him. One other diety didnt seem to care.
"Right. After I arrived here, I found that I was emotionless and powerless. Only now do I even have a fraction of my power. And there are still some emotions that are beyond me. You may have already experienced that part yourself." Kona paused, and took a breath.
"I think that the took more than just my power and humanity now. Before I thought it was a simple humiliation, but now that I feel this evil, I think it may be something more. I think he took my humanity, and created something in my image, and then took my power to bring life to it. It is deeply evil, but I cant seem to prove to myself it exists. Its not tangible to me, at least not yet. So I have come to the reasoning it must be manifest in someplace so dark it clouds what exactly it is, or that evil is actually inside of me, brewing." Konahomaru paused again, and looked into Veronnas eyes. It was there, as if a fire on top of a tall mountain. She was in clear need of some emotional release herself. Kona could stand it no longer.
"Veronna. Is there something you need to say to me, or perhaps somebody else? I feel something inside you. Please be honest, I dont mean to pry, but I will know if you lie to me." Kona said, concerned for what might be Veronna's problem.
Veronna Darkblade - September 17, 2005 01:13 PM (GMT)
Veronna listened to the other part of his story and found it intreasting; instead of having the dark right inside himself there was someone or something that played as his darker side. She didn't really think that would be possible but she has been proven wrong a many occasion.
When he ask if something was wrong she bit her bottom lip; a habit she never could get rid of. "I have something very important to tell Ocar, and would rather tell him first before I tell you. But I now I will not be able to listen very well because of this." She knew she had to tell someone. It wasn't bad, quite the opposite, it was one of the best things to ever happen to her.
She looked straight in his eyes, "If I tell you, you are not to tell anyone else." It was something she wanted to stay somewhat quiet for awhile, until it showed on her physically. She cleared her throught and took a deep breath, "Me and Ocar have talk alot about having a child, but we agreed we would wait awhile after getting married. But alas, somethings can't be held off forever."
She knew he would guess already before she really says it. "I now bear I child within me." The worst part of having a child was that she couldn't do the things she wanted to do after her stomach grew.
She wanted to tell Ocar first but she knew he wouldn't mind all that much, he knew she had things to do as goddess and this time she couldn't do it without telling someone something.
(I will not be able to reply to any topics for the weekend because I'm going to an Irish music festivel. I thought I would tell you so you would know I won't be able to get on for awhile.)
Nariwa Kona - September 17, 2005 05:59 PM (GMT)
"I bear a child within myself" Veronna had said.
Konahomaru got that same huge eyed look that he did when they finished their fight in the arena not long ago. Veronnas own red eyes, deep and blood colored, were equally matched by Konas pure white eyes, the blue halos grew and almost filled his eyes.
Kona was thouroughly surprised. It was the first time he was surprised in 10 years.
Soon it was replaced by excitment. "Thats simply amazing Veronna!" he said in a slightly hushed voice, as if to not disobey the 'Dont tell' rule. Kona was so excited that there would be another half-celestial on Imythess. He was no longer the youngest, no longer the 'Spoiled Brat'.
Not that Veronnas child would be the same. Kona promised himself to make sure of that. He would do whatever it was in his power to help Veronna and Ocar raise their child properly.
"Veronna. I feel I must make a promise to you and Ocar, a vow of sorts. But I would rather Ocar be present when I do so. Hurry, and tell him the good news! You simply cannot wait to tell him any longer! Please! Run and inform him of this wonderful news! When you get back I will let you both know what I have in mind!" Konahomaru said excitedly, urging on Veronna to go tell her husband. Truly this was wonderful news.
Veronna Darkblade - September 19, 2005 02:56 AM (GMT)
Veronna smiled when Kona's eyes grew wide. She could tell he was very excited about this, it was strange seeing him this way, she was use to him being kind very focused. She, herself was surprised when he urged her to go find Ocar, she wasn't sure she should she go find him or not, she didn't know if he wanted to be bugged by him.
She sighed and stood to go find Ocar. "I will be back shortly." She stood and started walking to the entrance of the temple. When she got to the entrance she called for one of her Nightmare. It came galloping to her, it's mane and tail was in full flame as it came to her.
She pat it on the mares' head and whispered it in her ear to go find Ocar. It understood her just fine, and knew where to find him. The mare galloped away towards inner Taras, that was most likely where he was.
Veronna turned to go back inside. She wasn't sure she should have told Kona about it, she wished to have privacy during this time, and knew if she asked him to leave he would. She walked to the arena, knowing that her Nightmare would bring Ocar here. She looked around as she walked, thinking maybe it was time for some change in the temple; it was starting to get odl and she wanted to add a few things.
She entered the arena and looked at Kona, "He's on his way and should be here soon." She walked over to where she was sitting before.
"Just so it's clear, when I want to be by myself you leave, I don't mean now but when I ask, you leave." It wasn't matter to be discussed and she made sure the tone of her voice was strong and somewhat demanding.
Nariwa Kona - September 19, 2005 02:32 PM (GMT)
Kona nodded when Veronna said she would be back, and kept his forward glance. The surprise had left as quickly as it had come. For some reason, Kona had felt partial to being around Veronna then anyone else recently. She seemed to be the only person that could access his humanity. Eventually she would be the cuase of his complete restoration, when he wasnt sure.
On that train of thought, he came back to the evil that he had come here to talk about. Kona had started a journal lately, writing what he had been experiencing. It made seemed to help him understand them, and eventually he hoped it would be preserved for others to read. What if, he had been thinking, his father was evil?
But how could his mother, a light celestial, have fallen in love with someone evil? Perhaps maybe he was Chaotic neutral, but that was pretty close to evil in its own right. Maybe, the evil in his father is now being manifest in him? Maybe. Konahomaru didnt like to think that was so.
Veronna came back in, and explained to him the 'Leave now' rule. Kona enjoyed the demanding tone of voice. It reminded him of the old days, when he was in the military. Discipline, structure. Things went smoothly then. "Yes milady, whatever you wish." he said. Kona stood, almost at attention, and turned to face Veronna. Almost as if waiting for any more orders.
Ocardonydd - September 19, 2005 03:42 PM (GMT)
Ocar was walking around the market in Taras, looking to see if there were any good swords for sale, when he saw one of Veronnas' nightmares come galloping towards him. He knew he had to, it was away Veronna used to find Ocar instead of coming herself. When the Nightnare approached it slowed down, and he knew he was suppose to ride it to the temple. He pat the nightmare quickly on the neck, then threw himself on the mare's back. It turned and started galloping back the temple of swords. Since the mare didn't have a saddle or bridle on it was kind of diffecult to hold on, but he had ridden like this before and he quickly regained his balance.
They were at the temple in just a few minutes; it would have been faster if there weren't so many people on the streets. He dismounted when the mare stopped at the steps leading in to the temple. He pat the mare again, then walked up the steps. He knew it had to be importent so he kept a fast pace. He knew Veronna would be in one of the arenas or in the private chambers: he would first check the arena on the first level. As he walked in he saw Veronna and another person. He wasn't sure he had seen this man before, but maybe he had because he seemed somewhat fomliar. He looked at Veronna and walked over to where she sat. He smiled at her, but he saw that something wasn't right with her, he wasn't sure what but he just knew something was wrong. He looked over at the other man in the arena wondering if he had done something, but he didn't really care right now. He looked back to Veronna, "Whats wrong?" He asked, much concern in his voice,
"And who is this?" He gestured to the other man in the arena.
Ocar was ready to take action if this person had done something to Veronna, but he waited until Veronna replied.
Veronna Darkblade - September 19, 2005 10:44 PM (GMT)
Veronna smiled when Kona came to attention like a real soldier, sort of like Ocar. She was ready to tell him sit back down when Ocar came into the room. She saw the concern on his face and knew he was worried about her. When he asked whats wrong then who Kona was, she stood and smiled at Ocar. She gestured to Kona, "This is Konahomaru, he is a friend of mine and he came here for help." She then looked down at the ground, "But I have something very importent to tell you." She looked over at Kona, "If you don't mind I must speak to Ocar in private." She grabbed one of Ocars hands and walked out of the arena.
When they were a little ways away from the arena she turned towards him. She smiled up at Ocar, and got ready to tell him, "I'm sorry I did not tell you first, but I had to tell someone and you weren't around, I hope you don't mind." She held both of Ocars' hands, "We're going to have a child." Her smile grew wide; she just realized how excited she really was about this. She hoped Ocar wouldn't mind she told Kona about it before him.
Veronna knew that people would find her weaker now then even before. Ever since she got married everyone thought she was weaker because of it, they were wrong. But she knew her expressions were easier to read now, she use to be very good at hiding how she felt, now it felt as if she was an open book to everyone, though around Ocar she showed much more emotion then around anyone else, even Varila.
Varila; a friend that was slowly drifting away, someone Veronna had called her friend but now wasn't sure if she even deserved that title. The only emotion Varila got from Veronna was anger and hatered.
Nariwa Kona - September 20, 2005 02:35 PM (GMT)
Kona nodded at Ocar, and then nodded again when Veronna excused herself and her husband. "Take as much time as you need." he said, as they were walking away. He wasnt sure if they heard him or not. "Well." he started to talk to himself. "You have got a hell of a problem with yourself."
He started to walk to were he had stuck his katana in the ground. He pulled it out. Kona held it up to the light, and it glared at him meanly. It was cool to the touch, and very refined, but still had that dangerous glare to it. Just like Konahomaru did. He even considered naming it after himself. but he threw that thought away casually, like a piece of trash. Naming blades was something he just didnt do.
Kona took a attack position, raising the blade. He gripped it with both hands, and squeezed firmly. His left wrist ached. It was still hurt from his spar with Veronna. That was a good memory, and he embraced the pain.
Kona took a quick shuffled fowrard, and came down with the blade, just like chopping somebody in half. Then he brought it to his side, a 90 degree slash.Quickly he spun it and thrust it backward, then brought it forward again in a 45 degree slash. He sheathed it.
It cleared his mind, readieng him to think and brace for the conclusion he was coming to. His father in all actuality had been evil. Not good, or even neutral. A small tear ran down his cheeck, but Konahomaru quickly erased it. He still honored his father, but he would shed no tears over a evil man. Still, he had to learn more. Perhaps Ranewen knew? Maybe. But Kona knew that she was reinstated as the Goddess of Darkness. He had a vision, a city in the desert under attack, and Kellen crawling with dark troops, void of the simple people that lived there. Almost as a military outpost.
Ocardonydd - September 21, 2005 01:16 AM (GMT)
He nodded back to Kona, then felt Veronna grab his hand. He followed her out of the arena and into the hall. When Veronna held his hands he looked down at her, wondering what was going on. And then when she said she should have told him first he began to worry even more. Then Veronna told him, and he open his mouth and smiled. He squezed her hands then put his on her back and pulled her closer to him and kissed her head. Then pushed her away a little to look in her eyes: the beutiful red eyes he fell in love with. "We're going to have a child? We really are?" He was so happy, he always wanted a kid, for one reason was because he had grown up in a big family and so he loved kids. The joy he felt inside was wonderful: him, a father and Veronna a mother, he couldn't wait. He bent down and kissed Veronna on the lips, then pulled her close again and rocked slightly.
Ocar had to tell his family at some point, they would love to know. His mom and dad had asked him about him and Veronna and children, at that point he wasn't sure, but know he could tell them that they were going to have a kid. He was sure Veronna was going to be a wonderful mother, and he hoped he would be a good father.
He looked back at the arena and saw Kona practicing his moves: Ocar wasn't sure if he liked Kona or not, he hadn't got to know him yet so he couldn't make his decision.
Veronna Darkblade - September 21, 2005 09:54 PM (GMT)
Veronna was glad that Ocar didn't mind that she told Kona first, he didn't seem to care very much. When he pulled her close, she put her hands around his waist and locked them together. She looked up at Ocar when he looked down at her, and when he asked if they really were going to have a kid she shook her yes and said "siyo." When Ocar bent and kissed her she kissed back passionitly. He grew close to her again and she laid her head on his chest, smiling and enjoying being close to him as he rocked them back and forth.
She loved Ocar and would give her life for him in seconds flat, but she hoped that it would not come to that. She looked where her husband was looking and saw him watching Kona, trying to figure out if he liked him or not. Veronna knew Ocar made friends easily but was always cautious around people he didn't know very well.
She looked back up at him and brought her right hand around and brushed it on Ocar's cheek. "Kona daewle ulu telanth xuil udossa whol natha leza," normally she didn't speak her own tounge but right now she didn't feel like having to speak basic and she knew Ocar understood what she said, "Usstan tlun naut zhaunus vel'bol uk ssinssrinen ulu telanth bauth drill Usstan orn'la saph ol ka dos orn'la vok ulu ukta." She waited for Ocar to reply, and as she waited she kept stroking his cheek, and sometimes her fingers made it to his chin.
Veronna had asked Ocar if he would shave, because she thought that his beard made him look older, which she didn't mind, but she wanted to see him with out the beard. He said he wouldn't do it anytime soon, so she stopped asking.
Nariwa Kona - September 22, 2005 01:37 AM (GMT)
Kona looked up at the sky, and watched the clouds pass over the arena. They were nice looking, but most of the aesthetic quality escaped him. He still had not regain his whole humanity, but still, he aprreciated them. Clouds were his freinds, they broguht the so much cherised rain, and sometimes the lightning and thunder that gave him energy and made him feel crazy inside. That was a good feeling.
Konahomaru looked around and shuffled his feet. Veronna was taking her time. A good thing, most likely. They were still somewhat newlyweds and their passion wouldnt die down for a couple more yars. After that, the passion would likely still be there, but the overall love and respect would outweigh it. Kona smiled.
He had more power return to him lately. One of those Soul Walk, which he hadnt found a reason to use yet. He wouldnt psy on Veronna and Ocar. Gods no, how disrespectful that would be. But, it would be good to practice. Eventaully he would have to use it.
Kona started the spell, silently chanting. He felt his soul leave his body, almsot as if he were stepping out of a costume. His body remained there, still. It breathed, shuffled a little, checked itself. However, it was beyond it to defend itself. Kona didnt worry about being attacked though.
Ocardonydd - September 24, 2005 01:09 AM (GMT)
Ocar looked down at Veronna and smiled at her as she stroked his cheek, while his hand was playing with her hair. He listened to what Veronna wanted to do and he nodded, "Very well, I will listen." He let go of her and backed away and turned towards the arena. When he saw Kona, who, Ocar thought, looked strange, somehow empty.
He held Veronna's hand and walk back to the arena. She wished for Ocar to listen to what Kona wanted to say, he wasn't sure what he had to say but he agreed to listen so he would say. Veronna seemed to look at Kona like a friend, which was strange because Ocar knew she normally didn't make friends, it was usually enemies. He was glad that Veronna had made another friend, the only other one she really had was Ace. He knew many didn't respect Veronna as a goddess and that wasn't right: she was a deity, a true ruler of Imythess along with the other gods, he himself had respect for Veronna for all the wheight she had to bear, but he was glad he could help her bear all that she had to do.
He didn't mind listening, but he wished to be with Veronna, alone for awhile now, they had much to discuss. Then he wished to contact his family, maybe even get Veronna to come with him to his homeland, but he would probably talk to one of his sisters who lived here in Taras and they could tell the rest of their family. He was sure Veronna wouldn't mind, but still he would ask her.
Doppleganger - September 26, 2005 03:39 PM (GMT)
Kona heard Ocar and Veronna return to the arena, and Ocar gave his body a funny look. He was about to speak, then he remebered he was just in soul form. Quickly he returned to himself, and felt the control return to his body. It reminded him of when he first arrived here, without feeling at all. Strange indeed, but usefull.
Kona turned, and said "Please excuse the empty look. I havent completely regained my humanity yet. I have something important to tell you both." Kona paused, and took a breath. what he would tell them would change his life forever. He was going to actually dedicate his life to a God, actually Goddess, something he had never done previously or will do again.
"I want to dedicate my life. Body, heart, and soul, to your service Veronna. I want to be a follower of you, and only you. I will defend you and your family with my life. Ocar, I also want to dedicate myself to helping you and Veronna raise your child. I too am a half-celestial, and I think that my experiences will be of great help to you and your child. If you deny me this, I understand and will leave it at that. Please, do consider me. I may sound somehwat stupid, but, I feel I have made up my mind towards dedicating my life towards following Veronna, and cannot take no for an answer to that particular request. I am at your mercy, once again." Konahomaru said.
He lowered his head and kneeled down. Already he could feel the power coming from the child inside Veronna. It would be a great warrior indeed. Kona wanted to make sure that it became legendary. He would give his life for it. Kona did not want another possible savior to be lost from Imythess. He had a feeling that his own fate would not allow him to do that now. The evil was overwhelming him, slowly like a poison. He knew that eventually in the future he would turn. But he would fight it with every last breath.
Nariwa Kona - September 26, 2005 03:40 PM (GMT)
(( Arrrghh!! Im so dumb! I cant beleive that happened! I guess thats what you get with multiple personlities. Please dont kill me or ban me or anything! It was an honest to god accident!))
Veronna Darkblade - September 26, 2005 06:50 PM (GMT)
(Don't worry about it, I have nearly done that before and I know it was an accident. I don't think theres a rule for making a mistake like posting in the wrong account.)
Veronna held Ocar's hand as they walked back to the arena, she laced her fingers around Ocars'. She noticed that Kona's body was empty, but she saw his spirit near by, and when he returned to his body and told them that he was still getting use to being human. It was like her, but opposite; she had to get use to being immortal then mortal.
She let go Ocar's hand when Kona began to say he wished to be a follower of the blade; something no one had asked before. Then he also requested to help raise their child, which she wasn't sure about that one, though help could be nice once in awhile, but it wasn't only up to her.
She looked down at Kona as he kneeled, and smiled softly, "You are a fine swordsman Konahomaru, and I would be very greatful if you were to follow me. You will be able to show that I am still around and those who follow me are strong." She drew one of her scimitars that was on her hip. She placed it on his right shoulder, "You will serve me when I call, and will bleed for me," she then place it on his left shoulder, "You will be in my service until you longer draw breath into your body and death take you." She removed her scimitar from his shoulder and sheathed. "This means nothing until you prove you will give blood to your goddess, until you show me you will not follow anyother god for as long as you live." She pulled out a dagger that was on her belt and handed it to Kona so he could show he would give blood. She then waited to see if he would.
And as she waited she reached over and grabbed the hilt of Kona's lighting blade; she noticed that he seemed to like it more then his katana. She drew it from its scabbard and looked at it closely, then she placed her hand on the blade and dragged it across, making a stain of blood on the sword. She removed her hand and closed her eyes and concentrated; the blood started to form near the handle of the sword, and it started to make shape, the symbol of the goddess of blades, which was two scimitars crossed then a long sword down the middle of them. The blood sank right to the other side of the blade, so the symbol was on both sides. Then the blood darkened and hardened; it now was a dark red symbol on his sword.
She held it out to him, "Stand, and take your weapon Konahomaru, you now are a follower of the blade, let all who see your sword tremble, for it is blessed by me and will never break."
Nariwa Kona - September 27, 2005 03:09 PM (GMT)
Kona felt an overwhelming sense of honor when Veronna accepted him. He accepted the dagger from Veronna, and looked at if for a second. It was well made, but very simplistic. Konahomaru was somewhat wary of daggers, he had been defeated by them 3 times. One by Veronna, another by Vernon, and a third by Zorgn. Vernons and Zorgns were poisoned, which made him escpecially wary of darker colored daggers.
Luckily, this one was made of plain steel. Kona raised the dagger, and then raised his left hand. Slowly he slashed his palm, covering the dagger in his sparking crimson blood. Electricity carresed it for a few moments, then died out. It was covered, and blood started to drip onto the ground I front of him.
"I give my blood to my Goddess, and I will give my life and soul need be." Kona said.
Konahomaru stood up, and accepted his Lightning Blade back from Veronna. He held it up, and examined the part closest to the hilt. There was the symbol of the Goddess of Blades, engraved with her own blood, and infused with her powers. A blade that would never break, and would stay sharp forever.
"Thank you Milady. I am most gracious for this wonderfull thing." he said, in the most thankful tone he could muster. That was a feeling he had not yet regained, unfourtanetly.
"What would you will of your servant? Shall I stay or shall I go continuing to gaurd Taras until you need me?" Kona asked. He was eager to recieve some sort of assgiment from Veronna, but, if she had none, going back to his old job for the time being would do.
Veronna Darkblade - October 1, 2005 07:01 PM (GMT)
Veronna bent down and picked up her dagger that was left there, Kona's blood was still wet on the blade as she grabbed the hilt. She waved her hand over the dagger and the blood dryed and stained on the blade. She sheathed the dagger as she stood, and looked at Kona and smiled. "I do not know what I would have you do, protecting Taras is doing my will, this city is my home, it is like protecting me."
She was surprised that Kona was still watching over the city, he didn't have to anymore but still he did. "You may stay for awhile if you want, it is up to you," she looked at Ocar hoping he wouldn't mind to much if Kona stayed, she could tell that Ocar wanted to be alone with her for awhile.
Veronna looked back at Kona, "If you ever need help, or guideince just believe in me and hold your sword with my mark up and call out to me." She knew being a goddess ment that she would be with her people when they needed her.
Veronna knew her life was going to be changing; it had changed so much from when she first came to the surface. She almost couldn't believe she was going to have a child, she loved the thought and looked forward to being a mother. But then there was the thought that everyone will now look at her as weak, like how many already did. She was also worried that someone might try to take her child away after it was born. So many things could go wrong, but she had Ocar, and he would take care of both Veronna and the child.

Konahomaru thought about Veronnas offer. He looked first at her, and could see she was sincere and not just trying to be polite. then he looked at Ocar, and could tell he was itching to be with his wife. Kona at least half understood. He got a similar feeling when it was raining outside and he was gaurding a prisioner or was in a watchtower.
The opprotunity was there, but at the present moment it was somehow unnatainable.
"Thank you for your gracious offer master, but I feel that I am encroaching on your husbands desires." Kona said. He bowed, and said "If you will excuse me." and started towards the temple exit. "Should you ever need me Veronna, dont hesitate to call. You are a goddess, you can send me a vision, a messenger, or whatever you want. Dont forget that."
"It was nice meeting you Ocar. I hope that sometime in the near future we can become further acquainted." he said, nodding at Ocar as he passed by. Kona sheathed his lightning blade as he went.
He had achieved what he had came for. He had gotten his help, and now knew what he had to do. He had to either hunt down this evil, and destroy it within and without, or, he would have to find a way to control it. Kona could no longer denie that essentially, he had some evil inside him too. It made him feel powerful. Strange, this feeling of power. He liked it, but also feared it.
